I know. I've spent all day on this. Someone at Ford/ Lincoln Protect finally stated that software upgrades are covered. They gave me a reference number to give to the dealer. Hopefully this will help.
So, i took my lightning to a different dealer. They want $1600 to update the software to fix the problem. They said it will take 8 hours. How is this not covered under the Ford PremiumCare Service Plan?
Still no solution. Dealer said it should be fixed through an OTA update, problem is the truck can't connect and get updates. Majorly inconvenient to not have hands-free Bleu Cruise. Even more annoying to not be able to see the current charging status in the app. Anyone out there have a similar...
Took the Truck in to the dealer yesterday. They ran diagnostics and everything seemed fine. I picked up the truck and everything seemed ok. I got charged $200 for the diagnostic that they said found nothing. 5 minutes after I left the dealer the connectivity shut down again; public charging...
My truck seems to be having connectivity issues. The app/ website doesn't update with the current truck information and hands-free BlueCruise won't engage. I tried disconnecting the 12V battery but it did not seem to help. Any other ideas on what the problem might be and what can be done?
Level 2 and CCS1 adapters use different 'pins'. The level 2 chargers don't recognize the CCS1/NACS adapter because the J1772 (top round section ) pins are not active on the CCS1/NACS adapter.
It doesn't really make any sense to convert that many superchargers to magic dock especially since all the ev manufacturers have agreed to switch to the NACS connector in the next couple years. The only way to find out, is to wait and see.
I'm pretty sure they agreed to open 3500 superchargers to non-Teslas.(which they are doing via the adapter) I don't think it states anywhere that they are converting 3500 chargers to include the magic dock.
I have a theory that the whole "Magic Dock" experiment was to test the adapters on all the EVs currently on the road. I have serious doubts that we will see much further expansion of magic dock superchargers .
I stopped at the Mechanicsburg, PA Sheetz to charge at the Tesla supercharger. When I arrived I found the aftermath of a recent Tesla fire. Employee said it was burning for hours. Half the chargers were closed but I was able to charge successfully on one of the remaining chargers
Dealer says it's the Battery Management Module and 2 other modules attached to the main battery. They don't have a timeline on when they will receive the parts.
