Once I can charge at Tesla, I never intend to visit EA ever again.
Their stations are all minimum 12 stalls, and they work reliably. And in my experience, they tend to be in all of the prime locations -- Tesla will be at a Panera, and EA will be at a slummy Walmart.

final outcome? Replaced module. (Note this is the second module replaced, first one was proactively replaced under the previous campaign)
Last time it took maybe a week or so to get the part, but because it was preemptive, they pre-ordered the part. It took them about 10 days to do the repair though because they had some sort of faulty battery balancing tool -- and that was the first time they've ever used it.
I guess we'll see...
I had this happen to me yesterday. Truck limits power to 20%. App says high-voltage battery warning.
I called the dealer, and they can't look at it until Tuesday. They looked at the codes remotely and thought it might be a software update?? I am assuming they are talking about that recall...
One module was 7hr of book time I think. Not sure if more modules is more time -- probably a little more time but a lot of the effort should be the same.
My dealer got the module in a week or two I think...and got halfway through replacing it before realizing they had a broken tool, so it took...
I called the dealer and pushed for more info and they claim they want to do an engineering analysis and that its not defective. Not sure I believe that -- I believe that's what the dealer thinks, but I feel like something more is up with this.
Oh well, they should do it next week in theory. I'm...
I have a road trip scheduled this weekend, very frustrating that Ford hasn't given much information. I will try to interrogate my dealer again -- I called today and their answer was "Ford called you? that's odd"., but now Ford scheduled an appointment so maybe they'll have more information...
Does anyone know if any power is being left on the table due to tires? It's hard to tell if its cutting power, even with traction control off.
Would be interesting to see how it performs with proper summer tires.
Ford kind of lost a lot of faith in me when they categorized this as "discovering a potential battery issue during pre-delivery checks.".
I don't know about you but a vehicle starting on fire is not "a potential battery issue", and is extremely misleading and slimy to frame it as such.
I would really like if they added some sort of factory decal package, perhaps something like what they do for the Raptor, but toned down a little bit. And two-tone paint options.
And I don't know why they got rid of the Atlas Blue option in 2023, I really like the brightness of mine.
afaik a dealer cannot sell it to anyone other than you, unless the vehicle is declined. Ford was doing some sort of name match, but I am not sure the repercussion of them failing it, but I would expect your dealer to be reluctant to sell it to a friend.
Tesla has also been known to not give loaners. And the closest Tesla service center to me is an hour away, and I am in a pretty mid-sized city.
Ford isn't perfect, but let's not pretend Tesla is either. Sorry your dealer sucks, but at least you can try going to a different dealer.
