Yes and no. Ford nav will (or has for me in the past) precondition the battery for certain DCFC's. I've only used EA or Tesla stops. It works for EA, not for Tesla. FYI, for the cool weather folks, the Sport/Tow modes do not heat the battery. That trick only works for cooling it.
Perfectly normal on the temp meter. I'm in the SW and also in regular 100+ temps. Ever summer, it'll just hang out in that area. The truck will kick the A/C on if it feels it needs to. One night, my wife woke me up because she thought I forgot to turn the truck off. It was charging and the A/C...
I've got my eye on the PointGuard system. It does look very promising. Using my solar when the grid is out is a big priority for me.
@RiqRod I have not yet done anything. I'm hesitant to invest in anything in particular with so many products "coming soon". I really like Emporia products and...
I put Bridgestone Dueler Ascent on mine. No noticeable loss of range and just as quiet as the General's I replaced. Gives a slightly more rugged look, with over 8k miles on them and I'm very happy. A set of 4 are $1056 on Tire Rack right now.
Please please please do your due diligence in researching the HIS. Very few people are able to use it with any amount of success. I originally planned on acquiring it myself, but quickly decided not to after the troubles of the early adopters. It's unfortunate, I would have accepted the con of...
Not sure which version I was on yesterday. I changed the charging schedule on my phone and it took effect within seconds. That was nice. My FCSP also seems to be responding to my adjustment for max Amps. It was 113F yesterday so I'm lowering the Amps to help avoid overheating.
With 200kW charging on a 86kWh battery, probably 800v architecture? Claim is 250 miles, assuming that's the useable capacity it would get 2.88mpk. Probably doable for a smaller pickup (I get almost that in mostly city driving with the Lightning). Personally, I don't like the proportions. The...
I keep a Li-Ion jump starter in the frunk. The AZ heat kills our 12v, I fully expect I'll need a new one this summer. I'm hoping the stock one will make it through and I'll replace after peak heat. So far, I've jump started 3 co-workers ICE cars but not mine :D
I was also going to ask about the, "moving over in lane" feature not working. I haven't noticed it either. Lane changes work just fine.
I did have it try to take an exit today, which it hasn't done [recently]. Not sure if it's a fluke. I'll try to duplicate it tomorrow.
Are you using Auto or setting it manually? I've noticed that it will kick on the heat when using Auto without my hitting the button. On occasion, I wanted cool air and discovered to my dismay that it was on heat. Tapping off the heat took me off the Auto setting.
Just wanted to chime in to make sure that you are still able to claim the install/FCSP and that it wasn't swapped out for the rebate credit at purchase. Might help sway your decision. If I where in your shoes, I'd talk to an electrician about moving your EVSE and using an adaptor. Or, if a 25'...
If you really want to maximize battery longevity, charge enough on your trip to return home with at least 20% SOC. Our resident battery expert shared some insight from testing batteries and discharging below 20% (actual I think, not what we are displayed) was one of the top 3 findings that...
8k miles, zero difference from the stock Grabbers. I am still very happy with them. Only thing to note is that I haven't tested in rain very much. I'll have a better idea on poor weather handling once monsoon starts.
Edit: just saw your reply in the other thread. No difference I can tell in...
