I could have ordered one in Nov but had to pass. I live in MN and once they started taking out things like the heated steering wheel that was the final dealbreaker. The truck is pricey, but if it still had all of the features I would have bought one.
I just drove from Minneapolis to Seattle and back in our Jeep Wrangler. While I could care less for AM stations under most conditions, I did find it useful for those āTune to AM 1640 for information on Snowqualmie Pass road conditionsā.
I finally got an opportunity to order, but have chosen to pass. As a Minnesotan I canāt justify $90k for a ER Lariat that doesnāt even have a heated steering wheel.
My dealer has gotten one (1) filled reservation so far, with two more expected for November. Ford will need a huge amount of ramp up to fulfill the backlog.
Iāll be honest and say Iād rather have the technology package and better battery chemistry that the Tesla is likely to sport. The body shape though, that is a challenge.
I am also a frustrated day one reservation holder. I want a Lariat ER, which they are supposedly building in larger quantities than things like the Pro, but still no news.
I am sitting here looking at my aging 2009 truck which needs repairs. Spending enough money to keep it limping along...
