  1. Glare Free light operation

I would love for someone to turn this on for me if thereā€™s anyone within 100 miles of Spokane, WA who is able to do so. Iā€™ll also be visiting Portland, OR second weekend in November as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  2. Help With My Boat

The truck ā€œfloatsā€ when towing a boat, or the truck ride feels like youā€™re floating in a boat?
  3. Lightning towing teardrop trailer cross-country trip report series! [PITTSBURGH āž”ļø SEATTLE]

Iā€™m curious what percentage of a range hit you get towing the teardrop on the interstate?
  4. Tow to charge?

Itā€™s a very easy experiment to do by simply using a very steep hill and letting gravity act as the tow vehicle. If itā€™s steep enough and long enough youā€™ll get massive regen.
  5. 208 3P/ NEMA 14-50 wiring/ 460 volt cornucopia

Itā€™s my understanding the SR battery is limited by the truck BMS to max 32 amp max AC charging either using the Ford 14-50 dongle 240v (and 11 amp AC with the 5-20 dongle) OR any other EVSE even if the EVSE is set to deliver at a higher amperage capacity. Is this not correct? And with the ER...
  6. Stranded on the I.C.E. !

I also have a 2022 Pro that I charge to 80% multiple times a week for a year + now using the Ford Mobile Charger on a 14-50 outlet that I installed. The truck draws 32 amps. Never had a problem, although I am aware that others have had problems with their FMC. Knock on wood.
  7. PTS/FDRS VIN Check Thread

Thanks for offering this. Updates and modules please. 2022 Pro VIN: 1FTVW1EL5NWG00482
  8. Longest Standard Range Road Trip

A year ago I flew to NJ to buy my Pro SR demo and drove it 3000 miles back home in 5 degree temperatures. Never having driven an EV, the only problem I had the whole trip was my very first charging stop in the charging desert of central PA at an EA charging station where the whole parking lot...
  9. Your 'Connected' Car May Be Transmitting Your Driving Data to Insurance Companies

That link appears to be specific to New Jersey, unless Iā€™m missing something.
  10. Your 'Connected' Car May Be Transmitting Your Driving Data to Insurance Companies

I saw options to opt out for 5 or 6 states, but I could not find an option for those of us who reside in a state not listed to op out. Do you have a link?
  11. Used Lariat ER or New XLT SR

If you can use the full $7500 federal EV tax credit, I would go for a new ā€˜23, either Lariat or XLT ER. I actually much prefer the horizontal screen and physical buttons of the Pro/XLT, and canā€™t stand moon roofs. The Ford discounts and, if you shop around, the additional dealer discounts make...
  12. Planning a 100% fossil fuel-free overland camper adventure in my Lightning

Has anyone figured out if itā€™s possible to hook up a third brake light by plugging into to either the flat 4 or round 7 trailer lights connector - without losing blue cruise, etc?
  13. Putco Freedom Blade 60" Tailgate Light Bar Now Available

I did not realize that. Thought it was a third brake light.
  14. Putco Freedom Blade 60" Tailgate Light Bar Now Available

I had read that itā€™s not possible to plug into the trailer light plug without creating problems like you described. I have a Pro, so no brake light bar on the tailgate. Since I only want to spend about $50 on a 12ā€ third brake like for a diy camper ($500 is out of my budget), Iā€™m wondering if...
  15. Adding brake lights

Did you have any luck figuring this out? I also have a Pro. I believe it has a plug in the wiring under the bed near the spare tire, which is what the trims with the tailgate light bar plug into. Iā€™m wondering if itā€™s possible to plug an aftermarket light bar into that. Iā€™m making a camper and...
  16. Anyone towing a Nucamp Tab 400 Boondock trailer?

I think you would be fine along the interstates. With the SCs opening up I think even I-90 thru eastern Montana and North Dakota will now be possible. The problem will be how far off the interstate you can go, but with all the chargers being installed recently here in the NW I donā€™t think it...
  17. Are J1772 AC contacts tolerant of HV DC?

I I really like that PlugShare has a filter for private homes. I checked it out and some people in rural areas post theyā€™ll allow their level 2 plugs to be used if someone is desperate for a charge.
  18. Apple Maps navigation and charging settings

    93 mph!!!!?
  19. Park City observation

Yes, Rivian seems to be extremely popular in many of the high end ski and recreation areas, at least in the west.
