That's what they told me, but they gave me the impression it was just what happened to my truck. Meaning yours may or may not be damaged, I have no idea what would have damaged mine. It looked fine from the parts I could see.
For those following along it home, it was not the software. It was a physical problem with the charging port hardware, which has been replaced and solved the issue.
Agree, that was my pre-issue experience as well. No charger outputs all the way to the the limits of the circuit Amperage. Usually they leave a decent buffer. Thus my conclusion that L1 was running fine (for me).
How many Amps was your L1 circuit? I was using the stock charger on 120v/20A but it wasn't pushing that much juice. I was getting a little over 1kWh, so probably about 10A or 15A off it.
That's the plan. I'm concerned they won't have any idea of what to do.
I got one more piece of info just now on it .... the problem only happens on 240v AC -- if I plug the OEM charger into 120v (20A), it will take the charge. So clearly, the truck thinks something is wrong at 240v AC ("too...
Whatever update I got immediately prior to this one -- maybe a week ago -- seems to have broken AC charging on my 2022 Lariat Lightning. I was hoping this update would fix it, but no luck. DC max speed is, in fact, better -- up to about 120kWh -- but I STILL can't get an AC charger to work --...
So I got the software update. I get the error every 30 minutes now then it resumes charging after a couple minutes. Bang-up job by Ford to "thereifixedit" this.
Thanks again. Just got off the phone with Ford support. They had me do the same thing. After reboot it went back to available status. They said the OTA updates should happen overnight between 1a and 3a (couldn't confirm time zone) and that it must not be plugged into truck or else OTA...
@Ford Motor Company -- I just had my electrician hardwire a new Ford Charging Station Pro, and received this same "Overheating" error/issue throughout the night. The FCSP is connected to home wifi. It has firmware version 5.0.16. Is this the latest version? If so, you have not fixed the...
