I've had them for less than a week but the efficiency drop is noticeable. Before, highway speeds between 65-70, my efficiency would be between 2.0-2.2 mi/kwh. Over the last few days, I've noticed that I'm averaging 1.7 - 1.9 mi/kwh, rarely touching 2.0.
I just replaced with Cooper Discoverer Road + Trail AT 275/60/20 after 40k miles. I love the tires and how they look on the truck but WHOLLY, it looks like I'm taking a 12%-15% hit on efficiency. I'm thinking these will only be my winter tires. I can't afford that hit when I'm towing my rv.
Absolutely!
Reading the other comments, I have to agree that range of 500 miles and software updates would be the data points that will make my decision of changing in the next 5 years or so... My hope is that battery technology will have matured to easily provide 500 miles of range and Ford...
Thanks @hturnerfamily, I knew that Google maps shows chargers but haven't really checked it out recently. I assume this would work for me as well as any other tool, when I've arrived in a new area. I've grown to lean on the Ford Native Navigation when on the road because of the integration...
Why am I still not able to see Tesla chargers when planning a trip?! There are different areas, that this fails;
If I plan a trip, the native Ford Navigation NEVER shows a Tesla charger as an option.
If I attempt to manually look up a compatible Tesla charger, that I know is in the area...
As most have stated here, people complain on the internet, especially owner forums, when they have an issue and sometimes, its not really a complaint more of an outreach for assistance.
I've had my '23 ER Lariat for a little more than 18 months and we love it. We tow our 33', 7800 lb travel...
Yes, that was the only change from previous towing trips and that impact on my efficiency.
Again, I'd love to see the internal and external battery temperature values displayed beneath the display.
I pull a Keystone Passport GT 2870, approximately 7,500 lbs loaded (for us). I usually average .9 -1.1 m/kw but this was an unusually hot day. I'll have to keep a closer eye on the battery temps in the future.
I'll use that filter but my request is that it sticks so that I only see those chargers on screen when enroute. The other issue is that I have to actually select the visible chargers that show on screen to see what their rate of charge is.
So, after 17 months of use, more than 34k miles, multiple 2k mile trips, multiple trips towing my rv (over 7k lbs.), I finally found myself stranded with 1% energy...UUugh!
All that said, this was totally my fault. My wife and I were returning from our weekend rving trip, we'd stopped to...
I would love to see a filtered view of enroute chargers, using the charger rates (e.g. <= 50 kwh, 51 - 100 kwh, 101 - 150 kwh, 151 - 250kwh, > 250 kwh) either by a selection filter or visually representing the chargers on screen somehow. I know they have the data, its ridiculous that I see...
My MY23 has 32k miles on the original Hankook tires. I've taken multiple 2k mile trips and plan on another one in a couple of weeks. I keep them inflated to approx. 37psi, have them rotated every 10k miles, I've towed my 8,600lb trailer with them and they show no wear.
I'd like to see either larger batteries and/or better efficiency, higher charge rate, all available Tesla chargers listed, and a simple software update that shows the rate of chargers on the navigation, so I don't have to select it to see what the rate of charge is (e.g. Color coded, Green = 150...
This is great to hear, I used the 30 amp outlet to supply power to my rv at times and have the house wired, just in case. I wish we could use the Pro Power without having to have to truck powered on...
Adventure Part II, first report:
So we've taken our first two trips with our new 8,600 lb Keystone Passport GT. There was a lot of learning done but I'll just touch on those items I think are relevant to this audience.
Trip 1:
Local State Park (Kiser Lake State Park, first pic) small gem...
@hturnerfamily, thank you for the feedback. This is exactly what our plan is...make use of what's available to do the things we want to do.
It helps to know we're not the only ones out taking this risks and pushing the outer limits.
@Adventureboy great minds...that is my hope, especially when we're at the State Parks and any local campsites. It seems that KOA frowns on that at this time, just means they won't get my business.
