You had to have had a 2022 model year reservation that was pushed pack to 2023, and you accepted the offer to extend your reservation to a 2023 model. But if you ordered after the $5k price hike I think that means you werenât a part of the 2022 reservations pushed back to â23
Agreed. The dealer should have 0 say about the PCO. Ford inputs the PCO into smartVincent and itâs either there or itâs notâŚthere is no âmaybeâ or âat the dealerâsâ discretion involved
The only people I talked to at Ford were through their general customer sales number. Iâm assuming my dealer was informed by their Ford rep that they could do exactly what they were telling me they couldnât.
From my understanding a DORA is just a dated digital receipt that is made every time your vehicle changes in price or has a modification to the build. I donât know how or where they look it up, but I donât believe it is overly difficult to find since they got mine early in the morning after our...
Price protection isnât exclusive to the lightning though. So the process to honor price protection shouldnât be anything different with every other vehicle. I think part of the problem is such a large amount that dealers donât want to expose themselves too much.
Which still isnât valid because...
One I saw had the front light bar and one had the rear light bar, so those wouldnât be pro models. I did see one light gray (not sure what color ford calls it) that didnât have the rear light bar so that one could possibly be a pro
If they upped your trade in offer to offset the taxes and you paid cash for the rest it basically ends up the same as long as you eventually get the refund. If you financed youâd be paying interest on that extra 5k but it would be somewhat marginal. It still boggles my mind that this is an issue...
@KurtsRPMGarage donât want to get your hopes up but I just stopped by the dealer (had a small scratch that Iâll need to get buffed out) and there were AT LEAST 3 Lightnings that Tony said just came in last night and we supposed to be customer deliveries!
They never explicitly confirmed their rep told them how to do it. I told them how it was SUPPOSED to be done and they said no. They said theyâd contact their rep in the morning and get back to me.
They called me the next morning and just said âwe found the original DORA from your order date...
Just drove home from the dealership with my truck! Everything went smoothly at the dealer and had no issues with the PCO or the price protection, but they said that was all clarified and taken care of this morning. So final price was $42,749 + around 4K for taxes, fees, registration + financing...
I think youâve got it correct. My invoice MSRP is $49,749, which was the price as of my order and not today. That is taking into account the price protection. When I get to the dealer tonight, they will apply the rebate for the $7000 private cash offer, which will reduce my purchase price out...
No that isnât a DORA sheet. DORA is something within their system that they can check to see anytime a price change was made on a vehicleâincluding modifications to the build or price increases. If they signed and acknowledge your cash incentive sheet that is them acknowledging your price so...
I think you're still confusing the $7k PCO and the $5k price protection. That sheet was given to me confirming my $7k private cash offer for being a MY 22 to 23 extension. The private cash offer according to the left side, as I understand it, is kind of like a discount code that you would...
That sounds about right. I only added in the bed mat and azure gray tri coat paint. So I should be $49,750 - 7000 PCO. So $42,750 plus taxes, fees, registration, etc. And then the federal and CA rebates afterwards. Crazy to think that I'll be around $35,000 when its all said and done!
Sending you a private message with the business cards of both individuals I spoke with. They were both very pleasant despite our disagreements. I donât think at any point they were trying to knowingly cheat me but I just donât think they were fully aware of how things were supposed to be handled...
My delivery date bounced around a few times because it was stuck in Mira Loma for over 3 weeks. Both the sales reps said they are so backlogged at Mira Loma that some vehicles (mine included) were basically getting pushed and stuck in the back because there were so many vehicles being offloaded...
