I’m one of those guys who had the battery module issue twice, had to wait for the heated steering wheel and also had a few other minor things.
Despite that, I’d agree with the sentiment on this thread. Love the truck, and am also impressed with the pro-active work from Ford on issues...
I had to wait six weeks for mine. Really frustrating as the truck was in the shop for a month for the battery module replacement. Got it back, and two days later had to take it in for the heated steering wheel - despite calling Ford and asking them to try get it there while the truck was still...
The dealership was able to do the repair in a day, but nobody seemed to know where the battery module was. I can’t figure out how you have something that has to be shipped as hazardous material and not have a transparent parts tracking mechanism.

Came back out in early December & they pulled it back in for the...
Mine is even worse. Battery replacement module not in stock, no heated steering wheel parts. Truck had now been in the shop for 2 weeks after the Powertrain malfunction error. Numerous chats with Ford and calls with dealer (who says Ford won’t give them an ETA) with no result. Given it’s...
I took mine in back in early October. Was told that the heated steering wheel was on back order, and their tests showed I did not need the battery module. Fast forward and the car gives me a “Powertrain malfunction” so I get it towed. They call back saying they DO need to replace the battery...
I got the Power train malfunction/reduced power notice while visiting a town about 90 miles away just yesterday. Called the dealer who suggested I also contact Ford Assistance for towing. I did, and they tried to tell me they’d cover about 50 miles. Told them I wouldn’t accept that as this was...
I got motivated by the others on this forum and went to Ford Chat on the app. They transferred me to a technical chat who started giving me all the things I should do to get the PU306 error message off the screen. While I was telling them I had tried this, the truck (not driven for about 5...
