I'm sorry to see the issues some are having. My truck has been nearly flawless. The only issues I've had are related to app connectivity and those were fixed with OTA updates. I have 15K+ miles on my truck and absolutely love it. It's a base XLT SR. I've since added almost everything that's...
Ford is going to get a huge amount of orders for lightnings today. Very glad I bought my lightning a year ago and have enjoyed the heck out of it over the past 13K+ trouble free miles.
Same here. No issues and I've had a bunch of OTA updates. I did have it not show the option for ACC after one update, but after a restart of the truck, it came back.
You'll need to submit an additional form, but you won't need to pay sales tax again.

I'd be interested... I'm not super technical, but have done this mod and many others on my lighting, so I'm not a total idiot :) Would a good place to start be purchasing the Teensy?
Check and make sure that your truck's home location is correct. I had an issue early on where my truck thought it was actually at my neighbor's address and therefor did not use and of my schedules. Cell service is poor at my house and I park my truck in garage, so I can see why it made that...
I bought a laptop from best buy for $90 that I dedicated to it. I'm all apple, so trying to make it work in a non-native environment scared me. I didn't want anything to increase my chances of bricking my truck.
Selling my stock 18" XLT Wheels with Michelin tires. I switched to the 20" Lariat wheels after a week of ownership and roughly 250 highway miles, so these are practically brand new. They have the OEM TPMS monitors in them and they are ready to mount. I also have the chrome lug nuts that came on...
Is this a cover that matches XLTs with the cutout for the lock button? I did this mod but used a dremel and it isn't perfect. I'd love to swap out the cover for one that looks OEM.
My truck has been updated twice since doing this mod and I have no issues. There may be a way for some updates down the road to overwrite things, but it's very unlikely.
Seeing a sign and interpreting it as a new speed limit is likely what caused this. I've had this happen with Teslas before quite a bit and it can be dangerous. I had a model S go from 75 to 25 as quickly as it could in the middle of a highway. Luckily the car behind me was paying attention...
I installed everything, completed the forscan changes and did the FW update today. Everything works perfectly! Thank you @Blochead21 for the support and @ZSC100 for making this tread and pioneering this upgrade.
I'm curious if anyone has looked at what is needed to do the passenger side as...
This is not accurate from my experience in my SR XLT. I've done multiple 100+ mile trips with 4 guys in the cab(total around 1000lbs+) and another 1200lbs+ of tools in the bed + funk. All driving was on the highway, with very little elevation change, I saw maybe 3-5% loss in efficiency. I...
I've been putting a ton of miles on the lighting as of late with multiple 4+ hour commutes a week. I've been using the ACC and lane keep a TON and am very impressed with how well it handles most situations.
At the end of this week I parked under a tree and did not realize it was shedding sap. I...
That's interesting. Mine operates differently.
Try this as well: With your truck locked, use the key to open the frunk, then try and close it with the button. My button absolutely will not work in that scenario until unlock the truck, or use the key fob button to close the frunk.
All that to...
