As a veteran of two battery failure seasons, let me share a tip: if the dealer doesn't offer you a substitute vehicle, just rent one and bill all your expenses—including fuel—directly to Ford.
Season 2 / Day 5
I just got a call from the dealer saying my truck is fixed and ready for pickup :shock:
Let's do the math: I dropped it off late Wednesday afternoon, and by Monday morning at 9 am, it's supposedly fixed—that's less than five days.
I'm not one to start conspiracy theories, but...
@GoodSam
I've reviewed your spreadsheet and have a few thoughts:
1. You've done an incredible job collecting all these cases. Wow and thank you!
2. While I'm not sure how this compares to the scale of Ford Motor Co, it seems like an overwhelming number to me. If I had this many issues with...
@GoodSam
On a side note, my neighbor, who owns a XLT ER and is far too busy to "waste time on the internet," also has his truck at the dealership waiting for his 2nd cell replacement.
His first replacement was also in 2023. I can get his VIN and details for your records if needed.
As a proud owner of an F150 Lightning, I'm absolutely ecstatic to announce that in my second year of ownership, another battery cell has bit the dust. So far, I’ve maintained a flawless record of one dead battery cell per year. With a total of 10 cells, I have the delightful prospect of 8 more...
~65 days.
In my case, this was one of the first Lightnings in Ontario, and the dealership had no idea what to do with it. I believe the current situation with dealership training and parts availability should be much better.
My truck spent two months waiting for parts with the same issue. Funny enough, after getting Ford executives involved, the problem was resolved in a couple of days. They claim it was just a coincidence and had nothing to do with speeding up the process, but I find that a bit suspicious. :sunglasses:
I was watching Euro 2024 and noticed BYD ads all over the stadium. So, I checked out their website to see what models they have, and here's what I found.
Hey, I just wanted to give you guys an update on my recent lightbar repair. They ended up replacing the whole rear lightbar assembly, which was a bit of a surprice to me because apparently the rear camera was part of it too. So the dealership had to reprogram it. It took them a whole week just...
A few days ago, I noticed a buildup of water, and today, the white LED section stopped functioning while the entire red section flashes sporadically. The dealership has requested to see the truck before they can order the part.
My story is basically the same as what others have shared here, but...
Fun fact:
On day 31, there were no updates regarding the part's estimated time of arrival or any other information. I decided to take matters into my own hands and reached out to one of Ford's executives (I work for a company that does some stuff for Ford and I am lucky to have that option). To...
•lack of a “lip”
From my perspective, the mats are excellent. I have two kids, a tiny wife and a huge dog. Not a single issue.
•harder to remove
Why do you need to remove them? The way how I installed it, there is no way I will even try to remove them.
P.S. I have TuxMat installed on all my...
