I think you made a good choice. I've been running a F150L for the last two years and it's been great.
I took a test drive of a Cyberbeast and wrote about a review about it on the Cybertruck Forum, they didn't really want to hear my perspective :)...
Took the truck out for an 2 hour drive and this issue resolved itself. I’m pretty sure the battery wasn’t actually run down as I plugged in a battery charger and it went immediately to maintenance mode.
Very interesting. Just had the dealer fix fine today and noticed these exact symptoms when I picked up the car. The update did fail multiple times so the battery could legitimately be run down.
I just follow the Ford recommendations for the vehicle. https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/electric-vehicles/f-150-lightning/f-150-lightning-charging-frequently-asked-questions/
There's a bunch of good stuff here. I've been charging to 90% daily since I got the truck. Tesla's...
I had some issues with the mid height crossbars and the awning supports against the back of the truck.
These things:
You may be able to set the tent further back or as per the manual turn it around which would mean this wouldn’t be an issue...
Wow, busy thread :). I just got back from camping and saw that my post got lots some good conversation going.
So firstly, thanks for everyone's perspective. I've been driving EV's since 2018 and this is a surprised case of assumptions and RTFM.

It’s 30amp 240v supply as far as I can tell.
Although it looks like it’s from the dark ages it does work - our neighbour is running their caravan off this successfully.
Hi all,
I’m currently camping for the first time with my F150 Lightning. I booked a campsite with power as I thought I’d test everything out and top the truck off before leaving.
Here’s my challenge. I purchased a Kohler 50 Amp to 30 RV Adapter (link below) from Amazon to be ready for the trip...
I specifically rolled the dice on efficiency over usability. The way I drive the truck a few efficiency points lost potentially over daily usability were worth it to me.
I’ll take a photo later out of the back window but with the mid rise bars there’s almost no interference with the rear...
Figured I’d post my setup. I’m still testing the efficiency impact but it only seems to kick in around the 110-120kph mark right now.
I went with the Yakima Outpost HD mid height for bed usability and rear visibility. Overall I’m happy with the choice.

100amp line would give you future flexibility. As others have mentioned you can just run a sub panel on that and split it how you want.
However I personally think that we’re in a time of least efficient EVs. They are only going to get lighter and more efficient from this point. So whatever...
My be a coincidence but since 4.2.2.2 when charging at home I get a charge fault error maybe every 4-5 plug ins. All I have to do is unplug the charger and plug it back in. I’m using a J1772 variant Tesla Wall Charger for reference.
I’ve got it booked in for the dealer to check that and the...
I was just in traffic and noticed in my reflection that although my lights were on the front light bar wasn't.
May assumption was that any time that the main headlights were on the light bar would be on.
Is there a problem with my car or is this usual behaviour? I haven't had a chance to...
Either it’s extreme coincidental timing or the BMS reset did the trick for me. I did the reset but didn’t drive it that day. The next day I drive the truck and got an update after parking.
Thanks for posting the tip!
