  1. Best way to plan a long trip?

You have the Tesla adapter. That makes your life super easy. I have driven from Western PA to Chicago, NY city, Western MI and Delaware just looking for my next 2 stops on the Tesla app. It'll be cheapest and most convenient to use Tesla superchargers with the membership. It even shows you...
  2. Nothing Has Changed In 7 Years

It locks in place until you stop the session from the app and unlock the truck. Only then does it come off. I was worried for the same reason and tried unplugging while locked+charging.
  3. Battery went from 7% to 0 and left me stranded 6 miles from charger.

A similar incident happened with me right after I finished charging at EA fast charger. I ended charge at 60% SOC. After driving for 2-3 minutes, the SOC dropped to 54% straight from 60%. It stayed that way and continued to fall at a steady normal rate after that with no issues. I completed 2...
  4. Charging Profile at Tesla Supercharger with NACS adapter

I should have mentioned it wasn't all bad. Got a few questions on how I like the truck and it's range, charging speed, etc. Mentions of the huge frunk when I got some stuff out from my luggage stored there. The couple of people who made the nasty comments had a bunch of opinionated bumper...
  5. Charging Profile at Tesla Supercharger with NACS adapter

Charged 4 times this past weekend. Charging speeds were between 140-150kW until 50%, 95-103kW between 50-80%, then drops to 44kW and I usually leave at this point. Used the Tesla app to initiate charge and am using the Ford adapter. External temps between 60F-75F. Same as you, SR battery. Each...
  6. Any problems at Tesla Supercharger with A2Z?

Most of us already know this, but for the ones who don't: you'll end up taking 2 spots at a Tesla supercharger unless you get the rightmost one. This upset Tesla owners at a coupe of chargers that I charged at and they were not happy even though there were open spots. I had to explain that there...
  7. Efficiency Help

My efficiency numbers at 70F+ are always much better than when running at temps below 70. Just finished a 750 mile trip running mostly in low 60s to low 70s. Low 70's yielded an efficiency of 2.3mi/kWh. Low 60's was 2.0mi/kWh. Same route, same speed of 70mph in both directions, hardly any wind...
  8. Fair Price on Used Lariat Trims (2022 & 2023)

Lariats have the offering reduced from $7.5k to $5k beginning April. XLT's still have 7.5k. I have been trying to find a dealer willing to put more than 4k as dealer discount in NE and Midwest. There's really not much out there more than 4k right now. It'll probably change again when we are...
  9. Best possible deal on a 23 Lariat ER

That is an awesome discount from the dealer. I have been unable to find any dealer going beyond $2500 discount. I'm ready to upgrade from my pro to XLT/lariat but there's nothing of this sort around me, reached out to at least 15 dealers in the northeast and midwest.
  10. Android Auto

I've been using the USB C port inside the hand rest storage to keep the section clutter free of wires. Maybe it is for charging only. I will give this a shot and see if I still the the connection drop. Thanks.
  11. Android Auto

I have this disconnection issue on my truck. It also happened on a GM crossover that I used as rental. I have not been able to figure out how to use wired connection for android auto on the lightning. On other vehicles, it's straight forward.
  12. Update: F-150 Lightning Fast Charging Tesla Adapters Start Shipping TODAY Per Ford!

I am an anomaly, received my adapter yesterday from Fedex. My order no. is 8004
  13. Free Ford NACS adapters are arriving! My order #813 arrived today!

I was order number 90008004. I received my adapter yesterday. Here is the screenshot from the email. Not sure how I got it this early.
  14. 2023 F150 Lightning ER Lariat, $30k Discount, $49215 final selling price.

My local dealer is willing to play ball with the pricing except for the X-plan. I went through all the responses here but was unable to find a solid credible proof I can provide to my dealer on how to make the X-plan work with the discounted price. There is a screenshot showing Lightning is...
  15. Leave Lightning plugged in when on business trip or not using for days or 1-2 weeks?

I leave my truck at the airport parking lot (in midwest winter) with maybe 2-5% drain over a week unplugged with zero issues. No observed drain in summer months. Just saying, Do as you please but the battery should not degrade due to cold, heat kills the battery. Li-Ion batteries do not like...
  16. Living with the Standard Range battery in the Lightning

I get - 2.7 to 3.1 miles/kWh in summer (city driving) and 2.3 miles/kWh at constant 70mph (highway only) - 2.0 to 2.3 miles/kWh in winter (city driving) and 1.7 to 1.9 miles/kWh at constant 70mph (highway only) with constant heat running - I have never towed anything but have had things in the...
  17. Are you always plugged in at home?

I don't plug in unless my SoC goes below 30% regardless of the weather. I'm in Western PA, mild snow country. Being plugged in constantly wastes more power due to electrical inefficiencies. Figure out a battery percentage needed for your daily runs and have at least 20% charge over that number.
  18. Tips to Maximize Your F-150 Lightning Electric Range (Preconditioning, Hauling/Towing, Driving Tools)

I wished that the lightning actually coasted like other vehicles, it still applies a small amount of regen when you let go of the gas pedal in normal driving mode. Or Ford should give that as an additional mode option to choose from. Talk about those drivers who need to have theor foot on...
  19. New member, Question on winter driving.

Good tires will do the trick for you like others have suggested. I live in cold climate with a lot of hills and lightning did just fine with AT tires. Make sure to turn off one pedal drive feature while driving in the snow.
