So I tried it last night. I turned off the updated Glare Free and yes, it switches my headlights to standard manual on off for high beams. Which makes sense. The Glare Free feature takes the place of the auto-high beam feature.
I have a level 2 charger at home, but just used 120v charging for the first time while on vacation.
The AirBNB we rented had a 120 outlet in the garage, and I had brought the L1 charger from my wife's car (Kia). I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised! I was able to add an average of 30 miles...
I've had some interest in my design so I'm going to print some of these up for sale.
MagSafe mount for 2021 - 2023 F150s with the little rectangular coin holder in the dash (so basically any Lightning that doesn't have the brake controller instead).
This sale is for the clip in mount only, no...
I know I posted about this before, but after almost a month of further development (and countless versions), I'v finalized my coin replacement MagSafe mount. Cable can run out the bottom or through the back. Currently routing to the cubby port, but eventually plan on pulling the trim and running...
I designed and 3D printed a MagSafe charger to replace the useless coin holder in my XLT.
This is a rough draft to test the fit, final version will print later today. Now I just need to figure out how to run the cable to the USBC port in the armrest or splice it into some wiring behind it.
Well, now that you mention it, I haven't actually tried to use them since I made the change. I followed the "easy change" instructions off another board and everything went through without error, so I just assumed that it worked.
I'll test it today at lunch and report back.
I finally got around to making some software updates to my '23 XLT via Forscan and did the following:
I tied the bed lights I installed a few months ago into my Zone Lighting and enabled the physical on/off button.
Changed my temp blinkers from 3 to 5.
Added universal window control (roll front...
I installed my lamps months ago but finally picked up a laptop and OBD2 adapter. Updated with Forscan last night and everything works perfectly on my 23' XLT. Thank you everyone for your help!
Well, the 2nd person would be there because he actually knows what the hell he's doing and has experience. I would just be there to be in the way.
And thank you! That's not a bad price at all, especially because I think he already has a compressor for just this purpose.
This is absolutely on my list of future mods to my Lightning. Two quick questions:
1. All said and done, about how much do you think this (will) cost you? Guess I'm wondering about total price if I do it myself.
2. How much time total do you think it'd take 2 people to complete this, if one of...
I have 3 spots in my town where this happens with wireless CarPlay. One of them happens to be on my route too and from work everyday, on a residential street.
If I'm moving, it'll just pause or cut in and out. If I have to come to a stop due to traffic, it'll completely disconnect, and a screen...
If the entry is anything like the Ford Lex I traded in for my truck then the inside of the handle, the part your fingers wrap around should be touch sensitive and is what unlocks the door. The button should only be for locking it.
Can anyone else confirm?
