Both sets of wheels were lighter than stock - the military style were possibly more aerodynamic than stock from a design perspective but that advantage would likely be negated due to offset. The weight advantage would have been 7-8lbs per corner on the wheels which was again offset by heavier...
I didn’t keep the truck long after, it honestly just drove so much better stock that it wasn’t comparable. I loved the look lifted but if I had it to do over again I would keep an EV truck stock or maybe only go with the lighter forged brink wheels on road tires.
It definitely rides smoother with the UCA lift and Pirelli tires, not as smooth as stock but it’s also not floaty either - a good pliable middle ground. Still torque steer when launching but the total front lift is a little over 4” (tape measure before and after) and it’s a game changer...
I didn’t have the stocks on at all with pucks so can’t speak to that ride quality wise. Can say I would definitely pay the difference for pirellis that are EV specific with the pound not being a big deal vs noise/ride quality. Also wouldn’t level again without UCAs but this is just my experience….
So I did not like it very much drive wise, actually went back to stock and the drawing board. Tomorrow I’m going with the RC 3” kit including UCA which I’ve been told make a big difference in ride quality. Another set of Brink flow forged wheels, this time the lighter weight insurgents - and...
Thanks on the truck looks đź‘Š
the tires definitely make more noise than stock, much more - but they are quiet compared to most AT/MT tires. Any noise in these trucks is amplified due to the silence - it’s a non issue with music on but you hear them listening to a podcast. IMO even the seat...
Wanted to share a few pics of my finished (for now) truck setup. Researched all I could and landed on this setup below for the best weight/aero/aesthetics combo. It won’t be everyone’s thing no doubt but the drive/range compromise is minimal and I like the military style wheels.
