After countless overnight trips to the dealer, Iāve finally given up on my ā23 Platinumās ability to get updates. The last (and only) one it received was 4.2.2.1 in May of last year. For the first year of ownership, the fact that I was missing out on feature-laden updates (like the ānewerā SYNC...
Yep, exact same experienceā¦ dealer tells me itās ānormal.ā Yet every other Lightning Iāve ever been in has the newer chimes every time. Is your truck getting OTA updates? Mine has not had one since May. Old Sync GUI also.
did you ever find a solution to the "old school chimes" by chance? As if they aren't bad enough as-is, mine are also sounding distorted lately... The chimes, and my truck's inability to download the updated GUI, are downright maddening after nearly a year of ownership.
Hey all - apologies if the answer to this question is somewhere in this feed. Just received yet another Service Notice (they're piling up lately - BCCM module, tailgate light bar, battery cell monitoring, dashboard mat, heated steering wheel chip) that supposedly can be fixed with an OTA update...
Hey all, thanks for the feedback. Yes, Iām very familiar with the Sync reset. Thatās become a near daily occurrence w/ Sync-related issues. Unfortunately, it did not fix the dashboard issue last night along with several vehicle restarts, charging, etc. I donāt believe Sync is related to the...
Pretty scary stuffā¦ anybody else had this happen? Been having SYNC issues since day 1 that have gotten progressively worse this week. Culminated in losing my entire dash screen at 70mph. Have re-started truck multiple times. Screen appears to be completely dead. Truck is a ā23 Platinum built in...
Hello,
Iām looking to trade my Platinum wheels/tires for Lariat wheels/tires straight up with someone in the NE Florida area. My wheels have around 7500 miles and are in perfect condition (no scratches, scuffs, etc.) Looking for Lariat wheels in similar condition.
Let me know if you are...
Still no fix for me on the door chimes several dealer trips later. The other day, I connected a trailer (and its wiring) and briefly heard the correct chimes, but otherwise havenāt heard them unless fuse 28 is removed. It definitely seems to be a LVB system issueā¦
FWIW, I am also still on...
I did see your thread earlier this week and it gives me some hope! The only troubleshooting item from your list that I have not performed is to completely remove and trickle charge the LVB and re-install. I do have an ODB. And it never dawned on me that I could check the LVB charge with it...
I did check the sensor... It was installed correctly. The dealer also looked at it and claimed to have fixed it.
My chime has been incorrect since I bought the truck. The only time I heard the correct chime was after I fulled fuse #28. It went back to the dashboard chime after the next start...
Hey all, first off I wanted to thank everyone for their contributions here. I've been lurking in this forum since purchasing my truck in early Jan '23, and have learned way more about Lighting electrical systems than I ever intended. I also wanted to preface that besides the issues I'm about to...
