  1. Generac 6852 Transfer Switch installed (to power my house from the Pro Power 240V plug)

Yup true about the meter pull because the switch needs to be in line between the main breaker and the meter, right? Hence the trepidation on DIY. FWIW, In Oregon we as owner residents can do work as long as it’s permitted/inspected. I know it’s not that way in other jurisdictions. Permits...
  2. Generac 6852 Transfer Switch installed (to power my house from the Pro Power 240V plug)

For me it’s a cost issue at the present time. A good Siemens 200 amp double throw 3 pole disconnect costs anywhere north of $1,500 just for the switch itself. Then there’s installation which I haven’t found much luck lately without usury rates from an electrician. If you can stomach $2k+ it’s...
  3. Keep Cool This Summer: Portable Fridges for Road Trips

Have a similar tonneau cover and admit it gets pretty hot under there. Anyone concerned about the ventilation and heat buildup of the unit being trapped under there? Especially when the bed is typically packed for a camping trip? Concerns about either unit failure or worse (fire)?
  4. Bed rack options

I use the Thule SR rails which mount to the bed pockets then also the associated Thule tool box sliding mounts cut in in half (forming 4 pieces) and attached my Yakima landing pads to those so I could mount my crossbar setup for bike racks, load box, etc.. I have the BAK Revolver tonneau cover...
  5. Generac 6852 Transfer Switch installed (to power my house from the Pro Power 240V plug)

Thanks. Did you switch all breakers over to Square D to be uniform or just mix the Square D and Siemens for ones you wanted to replace/ swap out?
  6. Generac 6852 Transfer Switch installed (to power my house from the Pro Power 240V plug)

Can I ask if you can use breakers that aren’t Siemens in the panel? I have some Square D Homeline tandem breakers I’d like to use to expand the capacity to 10 circuits total. . And some Eaton AFCIs for the bedrooms. Can I switch the existing breakers in the TS for those ore won’t they be...
  7. Pro Power OnBoard with Autotransformer -- to work around the bonded neutral issue?

Yeah thanks for this. I still think that Enphase is missing the point on this as the tech brief deals with using a portable generator as a recovery tool for Enphase batteries that have been depleted below the State of Charge that allows the PV system to work and charge them. What i had hoped...
  8. Pro Power OnBoard with Autotransformer -- to work around the bonded neutral issue?

Have you had any luck on integrating your Propower Onboard with the Enphase system. I have a PB and an Enphase system too. Just curious...
