  1. Long Island beaches? No Problem! Actually prefer the lightening!

An electric truck on a diet is of course known as a Lightening.
  2. First Road Trip!

Reminds me of having the frunk open in preparation for a hike at Mt. Greylock in Massachusetts. A fellow hiker approaches, concern on her face--"Engine trouble?" then "Oh."
  3. Tow Report: Ford Lightning vs. 4500lbs of Raccoon-Covered History

    Hmmm… raccoons… questionable roast beef…
  4. Whose truck worked great today?

No real problems in about 20,000K of ownership (22 bought used), except for those self-inflicted-- tight garage scrapes; close encounters of the 3rd kind mirror issues... And that frunk! Useful in so many ways-- can even sleep in it if in temporary bad graces with the wife!
  5. ECG-25.2.5.7.1 - Consistent Battery (LVB) Performance

I got notified, both on screen and in the Ford App. The update was a bit of a surprise, occurring while truck was parked as I attended a meeting, and I noticed the on screen alert of this when I returned home.
  6. FCSP Bit mining?!

Not so inaccurate as Tesla’s been in the churn cycle as of late.
  7. Your Username - why & what does it mean?

Being a poet among other things, wish I'd coined it, but stole this from a student of mine way back when who came up with it. Speaks nicely to the inflated grandiosity that washes over me every time I get behind the wheel of my Lariat!
  8. Coming flood of Used EV's ...

It's just knee kick, stupid reflex- Anything the Great Satan (previous administration) did, I'll cancel culture it right out!
  9. Need advice on 3 different Lariats for purchase.

I would lean towards the 22 ER on the unproven theory that Ford put extra effort into the manufacture of this debut edition of the F150 Lightning.
  10. New EV charging stations in Iowa halted, {POLITICS}

Because EV's make the villagers uncomfortable, and we do not want to rile up the villagers...
  11. I lost my charge port cover.

Found one on Ebay, but turned out to be a little too generic.
  12. How common is this?

Sounds like a faux prom queen sashaying to the Wreckers' Ball.
  13. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

I use one pedal sparingly, mostly in stop and go traffic where it's a godsend to not constantly shift from one pedal to the other. Much the rest of the time, Sports Mode is great. Foot off the accelerator is akin to downshifting, there's minimal brake use, and the batteries get rewarded with...
  14. Will you renew BlueCruise?

I like Blue Cruise, though last night on Rt. 2 in MA, a highway that's a little rough in spots, BC put the truck through a couple of sudden lurches that had my hands back on the wheel, pronto. $500/annum? No way, though I might join the 10/month club.
  15. Driver Alert Hates Me

Apparently some of the newer Flashes are over anxious to perceived Attention Deficit Disorder, and Ford has hired a therapist to program an OTA couch session.
  16. Mileage understanding

Though glad I own an extended range Lariat and something of a hyper miler, I'm not too concerned with the varying mileage I get that often does not add up to the EPA advertised. Instead, I focus on the great advantages of being free from petrol and related fossil fuels; and having my own home...
  17. Finally pulled the trigger

I would phrase it "no hits, GOOD runs, no errors!"
