Well it's been a few months now. Probably had 20+ loads of various wood, couches, and general hauling plus car washes every week at least and I haven't noticed a single chip or issue. So I'd say great!

Drove a few hundred miles today with the audio at a decent clip. Dampening like that definitely isn't out of line with some vibrations I was noticing. Looks good.

I don't think you can pin this on the codec. Tons of other applications use the same technology without sounding bad.
