Speak for yourself. I bought my Lightning because of the tax credit. That year I was going to have to pay the fed, so why not invest in myself rather than give it to “the man”.
I think your blind faith in all of us being “ev evangelicals” is misguided, short sided and a false narrative.

I have two Schumacher 16 amp 240v chargers and they are amazing. Used them on both my Plug-in, my lighting in both 120 and 240 configurations.
You can pick them up new (open box) on EBay for around $75-$100.
Been using one now for 3.5 years without issue.
Here is the problem with your statement….we have to be getting OTA updates for them to do that.
Updates have basically crawled to a pace last seen by the amoeba crawling out of the ancestral ooze following the big bang.
$0.135 off peak for Pacific Power here in the Willamette Valley of the good old state of Oregon. That includes all the annoying fees and such.
Our TOU discount sucks so really it is $0.16 or 0.17 prior to doing the TOU.
I think you should go CyberTurd….🤮
I would look for a used one for sure. Sad the amount of depreciation our Lightnings took. If you can’t and you found a great lease deal, I would do that and see what the market has in 2-3 years. 🤷♂️
The reality is how the app was implemented it was less useful to the masses. Most either ready use ABRP or PlugShare. Then in route often what was baked into Android Auto or CarPlay. Then those that used the navigation, sometimes used that.
While driving, I never found it useful to use a Ford...
I think that is an obvious direction they are considering for sure.
I think they may also be thinking of should they trim it back and offer a public version so they can still offer a fleet version.
While my specific department doesn’t need one at the cost, they do have a nice use case even...
I have a two bike hitch rack that I use. As I also haul my kayaks, I am considering installing a single bike “roof rack” on to the cross bars holding the tent. That way I can leave the kayaks in the bed when it is just me, or doing twin “roof” bike racks.
Not really any issues just things to be aware of. Like obviously when backing into a tight place the warning system does not account for that projections.. The other is I have 29” mountain bikes and you have to be careful with what racks you can use since there is that projection.
Otherwise I...
Do you have an OBDII scanner? Watch the pack voltage and kWh rating. Remember that the percentage on the dash is a guess by the BMS, so say it thinks you are at 80.01 and drop to 79.99, then it will go down, but little energy left the pack.
The second consideration is now that temps are...
The biggest question is how is charging in your location and the paths to the places you will take it. If you have great charging infrastructure do the SR and skip the ER. I know as an ER owner, I could have lived with the SR for most of our adventures, but a 1/3 of Oregon has no chargers so...
