Got the Karaoke update a few days ago but while I do enjoy Karaoke, I don't enjoy it enough to pay $10 a month for it. One of these days when I'm bored I'll try it on WiFi. Then today while I was out getting groceries I got the 1.1 update, I noticed that my proximity sensors were going nuts when...
Drives me nuts too but that's a YouTube thing, they actively encourage content creators to make longer videos. I think for advertising reasons. Most YouTubers do it and it's refreshing when you come across one that doesn't.
Possibly, I haven't had the IPMA update done because my parking sensors have been working fine and because I read about all the problems with it. Only thing the dealer has done on mine is replace the low voltage battery sensor.
The factory solution seemed to be to drill holes and attach it with some ENORMOUS pop rivets, so I bought some of that exterior grade double sided mounting tape and stuck the brackets on with that. That was 9 months ago.
Also I have been really enjoying my Lightning, not only is it my daily...
I gathered that from its behavior. Do you know what the criteria or methodology is? Most of these curves are gradual, not places where I would slow down, and the lane keeping and follow distance still works. So I'm a bit mystified why it suddenly wants me to keep my hands on the wheel. Seems to...
Yes turn off that speed sign recognition. One thing I notice with Bluecruise is that it doesn't seem to like curves. 90% of the time when it switches off and asks me to put my hands on the wheel, it's because I am going through a curve in the freeway. As soon as the road straightens back out...
Try pushing in on the tailgate while pressing the button. That helps with mine. I think the problem arises from the latch and latch pin not being lined up properly. I moved my driver side pin around a little and it works a lot better. Not perfect, but better.
Noticed that my PAAK had quit working recently. Spent about a half hour tonight farting around with it and found this thread. Eventually got it working again had to delete the app and also factory reset the fordpass settings from within the truck itself. Then had to start over reinstall, rescan...
Oh so it just disables the motor movement of the gate itself, not any of the latching functions?
Well anyhow. I think I figured out what was going on. I loosened the driver side striker bolt and in the process it moved around. There is quite a bit of adjustment up, down, forward, and back in...
Huh, I got one with my '23. I always thought it was so you could plug the mobile charger into a twist-lock outlet. I guess I need to take it out of the bag sometime and see if it's even big enough 😅
Too much!! Although I found my total premium was slightly less if I added an old beater car with minimal coverage. Multi-vehicle discount.
I do drive that car once in awhile but even if it just sat in my backyard I guess it would be worth it?
Just tried that but it didn't seem to change the gate's behavior. Still requires 2 button presses from the dash/app or 3 presses from the gate itself to open (sometimes more). First press from the app returns a "failed to open/close" message. I assume it's supposed to open on the first press...
Speaking of tailgate stuff, does anyone know exactly where the switch/sensor is that tells the truck that the tailgate is closed? I assume it's in the tailgate itself somewhere - maybe one of the main latches?
The reason I ask is that my tailgate has been super fussy ever since I got the truck...
