Curious if anyone knows how accurate this estimate is at cold temps. Driving through OK and TX last month with temps in the 80's it was pretty good - underestimated destination SOC by about 1% per 40 miles. This was very useful for providing confidence in reaching destination. But how is it...
I got 10.1.0 during a road trip a couple weeks ago and it really has been great. I especially like the estimated SOC on arrival. Didn't know it was also preconditioning for DCFC stops, but at current temps in the south that probably didn't matter anyway.
Confirming on my end - last charging session > 1 kWh was Oct 14th. I don't charge every day, but probably every 2-3 days at least and everything after 10/14 is sub 1 kWh which clearly doesn't make sense. I haven't paid attention lately to the white LED, but I've noticed it in the past and...
I also had to re-login yesterday, which I never have to do with the app. But my login worked so I wasn't stuck like you. I suggest confirming your login info in a browser and retrying the app again.
To me it seemed like the latest Ford OTA update (not AA) was related. I stopped for dinner during a long trip Thursday, and when I returned to my truck it notified me that the latest update had been installed (10.1.0 - Karaoke and Public Charging). Right away I noticed that my navigation...
It took me a minute, but are you referring to the song Stagger Lee? It has many renditions, by many artists. I'm a huge Nick Cave fan and yes, that's the inspiration for my profile name. I don't recognize the specific lyric you quoted - which singer / version? Or am I totally off-base?
Thanks. :) So, my recollection is there is no positive indicator of whether preconditioning is active even when navigating to a regular charger through the Navigation app, aside from observing charging kW during cold weather. Is that still true, and if so, how do we know we're not...
Nope, no Magic Dock at that location. Used my NACS adapter. If you re-read my earlier post I think you'll see that I said, "... but I do not know if it does any preconditioning," so I'm a little confused about what you're trying to correct me on.
I used it this morning to navigate to a supercharger 7 miles away. Clicking on the button that said something like "7.1 miles" opened up the Ford Navigation app and took me there.
The app MyRadar Weather Radar works on Android Auto. I don't know if they have an iOS version.

Use the Charge Assist app in the truck. It will identify nearby Tesla chargers and let you navigate to them as usual, but I do not know if it does any preconditioning.
FYI you don't need to turn off plug and charge for this to work. Follow these steps:
1) Pull up to supercharger. Do not unplug connector yet (actually not sure if this matters, but you need your phone so leave connector alone at first).
2) Initiate charge session in Tesla app by selecting...
I don't know about options in Oklahoma, but DFW has a Magic-dock and plenty of other non-Tesla DCFC options. Also, good EA stations in Waco (I hit 180 kW) and Round Rock.
Long time lurker here - 1st post. Currently charging outside (17F) while reading this thread. I opened up Fordpass and was at 79% with 167 mi DTE. Now a few mins later it's at 80% and 238 mi DTE. Pretty good jump for just 1% SOC! 2023 Lariat ER.
