I've driven pickup trucks for 50 years now. The Lightning is obviously my first electric. I keep loading up the bed and cab with stuff and running out of space, not once thinking about the big empty area behind the front grille. Does anybody else do this, or is it just me?
I'm having the same problem with the cooled seats. I remote start the climate and the cab gets nice and toasty, but the seats are on cool level 2. I'm up here in the frozen tundra where the seats are always set to heat, and I have the controls set to "last setting" what gives?
Our other two vehicles are a 2019 Ford Flex, and a Heavily modded 2009 Mustang GT convertible. The 2022 Lariat ER gets chosen every time we go somewhere. The Flex feels like an antique and the Mustang is like something out of the stone age.
I live near luebri, and usually keep my Lightning plugged into a 120V outlet. However, at my shop I have been temporarily using a 75' 8/3 extension cord on a 30 amp breaker. My Grizzl-e is set to 24 amps. Nothing in the circuit ever exceeds 80f, which I consider acceptable.
Not sure if this is specific to Lightnings, but if you have a trailer plugged into the truck, lock the truck doors, and then unplug the trailer, it sets off the alarm system.
I had the exact same experience as the OP. They wanted $185 for the 20,000 mile service. When I asked for a breakdown on the cost, they listed the oil/filter change. After I asked them where exactly are you going to put the oil in an electric truck? the price dropped significantly.
Not true. EA and Ford network chargers both work with P&C. I can plug into any of the level 3 chargers at my local Ford and Lincoln stores and charge without using the app.
I'm 99% sure that I got the update. The Ford Pass app. showed the charger and recognized it, but kept giving a "charger fault" message. We tried three different chargers on two different banks.
Mine arrived yesterday just as we were going to go up to Green Bay. Instead of my son's Tesla we took the Lightning so we could try out the adapter. It did not go smoothly. We could not get P&C to work through the Ford app no matter what we tried. I should note that P&C works flawlessly with...
My adapter is supposed to arrive tomorrow, Monday the 17th, but since yesterday I have been unable to track it. The problem seems to be on Ford's end, as clicking on the "track package" link sends me to a random Fedex page. Anyone else having this problem?
And 30 seconds after I took the picture a Rivian R1S pulled up. Never seen all 6 stalls full before. Stopped again this evening on the return trip and it was empty. Charged at 180kW peak, settling down to 156, before dropping to 110 shortly before hitting 80%.
Make sure you get an email. My first attempt went through, but I got no email. Tried again just now, it showed that I hadn't ordered yet, so I ordered again and got the email confirmation. #6349.
