This whole rollout has been confusing to say the least. I do not envy you Brian, but I really appreciate what you're doing, thank you!
It seems like I received the 1.4 update, but did not have the toggles available for turn on lane change assist, etc. Then I received an update that gave me...
I'm guessing you're connected to CarPlay wirelessly? I'm pretty sure CarPlay utilizes both Bluetooth and Wifi to connect wirelessly to the vehicle. Have you tried connecting via USB cable for your phone, and then your daughter's phone via bluetooth?
That's correct. Seems wild to me that Ford would push this update, claiming new features, but then have to include a disclaimer at the bottom that they might not work because it's also dependent on an additional update that they can't seem to push out.
In the release, it states: "Sliders to...
Thanks. Sounds like I need to get the toggles via FORScan. I thought it was strange that they push this update for BC 1.4, but then describe in the update that the toggles to actually turn on the feature is coming later. I just wanted to confirm I was interpreting that right.
Got the update last night. Drove to work this morning which is probably 30 miles of Blue Cruise highway.
Seems smoother? Less bouncing back and forth.
I didn't have any automatic lane change capability though. I looked in the options and didn't see the ability to turn that on at all. The...
Putting springs and dampers designed for a gas F-150 on a Lightning is a terrible idea all around.
Remove the 2" lift, get an alignment, and replace the OEM shocks if they're worn out.
I just went through this whole process. Have a 2023 Lariat that was in an accident. Passenger fender got replaced with the 2024 style fendor. Body shop went back and forth with Ford and couldn't source a 2023 style fender with the fake charge port door. That's fine, but I wanted the driver...
What exactly do you expect it to do here? You need to have CarPlay connected to get a read on SoC. It takes that into account when route planning. If you parked the truck with 50% SoC the night before, maps will use that as the starting point for route planning. You want it to get a live...
I have 3 of the Meross MSG100HK added through HomeKit. I have 3 single garage doors. I just named them 1, 2, and 3, and can use voice control on anyone of them. Echo what others said here, which they all popped up on CarPlay, but seems to be the last used one, so it's always a crapshoot...
For those of us that use CarPlay + Apple Maps because of the battery charge integration, looks like iOS 18.4 is going to include the ability to add Tesla superchargers to your route planning if you have the adapter. Public release of iOS 18.4 will probably be sometime in early April.
Any chance someone can check my VIN? I thought it was keeping up to date ok, but they've come to a grinding halt. I don't have the battery voltage sensor changed yet, but I haven't had a single update unable to install. Just seems like I don't get many updates pushed my way.
VIN...
Exactly. I'm guessing the 2025 model years are not going to have more advertised range.
A spare tire cover is not going to make a difference either. If $10 worth of plastic could improve the range of the truck, Ford would have done it.
The car world is very competitive. If there was a...
There's no way your phone is pulling more than 15 watts from the USB-C power and you're draining the battery.
Something is preventing you from pulling the full power. Either the phone is limiting it for some reason or the truck. It's more than likely the phone.
I had to try this out. I knew you can add the Tesla network to your Apple Maps profile for your vehicle. I figured that would be enough to get it to route there. Turns out it's not. I think it's due to the fact that they think you can only charge at CCS connectors. There needs to be an...
"I literally touch nothing! My car drives itself...except it violates school zone speed limits and requires me to abruptly take control half the time or else it would crash into something"
You're absolutely delusional and a danger to everyone else on the road.
If it requires an intervention...
This is a really well done work around to get walk away lock to work.
Absolutely insane that we're at this point though. This is a total software Frankenstein. Multiple apps talking with each other on your phone to tell your truck to lock the doors. All to replicate a function that was...
