  1. What Level 2 charger do you recommend

Emporia, Grizzle, or Tesla. Ford Pro NOT recommended!
  2. Is Ford Pass app essential? My phone is too old to install it.

I like the form factor of the iPhone 7 (not too big). I suggest you get an iPhone SE 2022, it's the same size physically, but has wireless charging and 5G. Keep the iPhone 7 as a backup in case you or someone looses or breaks their phone and needs something right away. The app is very useful to...
  3. CarPlay Driving Me Crazy

I use Google Maps (or WAZE) on my iPhone through carplay, and it currently doesn't know you're driving an EV, so none of the above issues. I am perfectly capable of deciding if I need to charge on the way home. If you must use AppleMaps, I think you can select a different vehicle, or no...
  4. DIY - bed bike stand

A bit more $$, but very quick and easy to load, especially for heavy ebikes, expandable to 3 bikes: https://1up-usa.com/product/1-25-2-quik-rack
  5. Can ford void warranty if we dont do recommend service

As I understand, at least in the USA, you can do the scheduled service yourself. You should keep a log of what you did, the date and the mileage.
  6. What’s the latest software update for the Lighting 2023 ? As of Oct 2024 ?

I don't know, no one knows what triggers the updates for any particular vehicle. Well perhaps someone at Ford knows... I can share this info: I bought my truck in Early December 2023, and went a looong time with no updates. Then I got a couple very sporadically, and it seems like I got at least...
  7. With onboard NACS, will Tesla V2 stations be available?

Tesla is receiving federal money to make superchargers available to non-Tesla vehicles. Elon isn't being philanthropic.
  8. With onboard NACS, will Tesla V2 stations be available?

Future Fords (and others) will have native NACS ports, not CCS, so it might be assumed that they could work on V2 superchargers.
  9. Squeaky quarter panel

    I forgot all about it...
  10. New EVSE option: a BReAKER with built-in EV Charging: EATON

Not exactly, it can work if your panel is within 25 feet of your vehicle charge port. But it can also work in your panel in your basement, with the junction box option. I would consider it (depending on price) even if adding a subpanel where there isn't one already. However, you may be right on...
  11. New EVSE option: a BReAKER with built-in EV Charging: EATON

It combines the breaker and EVSE together in your subpanel. A great idea, especially if you already have a subpanel in your garage. Still good if you do not, of course not so much if it costs much more than a breaker + EVSE.
  12. Finally! A simple & effective solution to "locking" your Ford NACS adapter -- 3D Print Lock

Right on! I agree with everything you said here, just couldn't help pointing out my observation.
  13. Finally! A simple & effective solution to "locking" your Ford NACS adapter -- 3D Print Lock

I might be wrong, but it looks like you could pull that locking piece out with some run of the mill needle nose pliers?
  14. Have you noticed... (lesser known features of our trucks)

It also shifts itself to park if you open the driver's door while the truck is on and you are stopped.
  15. JuiceBox (Enel X Way North America) to cease operations effective October 11, 2024

The travel charger should be covered by your 36 month warranty. And, your JB should still work fine the way you are using it.
  16. JuiceBox (Enel X Way North America) to cease operations effective October 11, 2024

Yes it is, thanks! I registered, but no luck getting the free web app.
