Yes I bought an extended warranty but it is a lot cheaper if you buy it direct after your purchase as opposed to through the dealership. As long as you purchase it within the first 12 months and 10k miles. It was a fraction of the cost and I got bumper to bumper to 175k miles
I had the same issue about a year ago and indeed it turned out to be a faulty FCSP in my case. They sent me a new one and swapped it out. Haven't had an issue since. Good luck
