Help needed. Carplay route planning is driving me crazy! Several questions. Any help is appreciated
1: I am traveling from point A to point B and let’s say Im going home and it is 100 miles. I have enough of a charge to go that distance, but would arrive at destination with low charge...
I have a Tesla mobile connector and was wondering if I can use it - along with a J1772 adapter - as the fulltime option to charge my Lightning. I don't have an option to install a hard wired charger.
I thought I read somewhere that Android Auto now supports EV route planning, but I cannot seem to find if this is true.
If you use AA does it do route planning?
If so, why do you prefer AA over Ford Navigation?
Thanks
I'm about to take a 4000 mile trip in my 23 SR. You say you've not really had an issue traveling in the SR? Range for me isn't an issue in the winter, but I do more traveling in the Summer when temps are up.
I use the Alexa voice command a lot when I drive. Today it suddenly gave me a error message that said "Having trouble connecting. Check connection and try again"
First: any idea how to correct this?
Second: Does Alexa use my cellphone service or my Ford Connectivity subscription?
Thanks
I'm attempting to figure out how to use Android Auto in my 23 XLT. A few questions, if anyone has a moment.
Will Android Auto determine when charging is needed in route planning?
Is it possible to use AA in full screen mode?
Which do you prefer - AA or Ford Sync?
What are the benefits...
Wondering if anyone else has this issue...
My 23 XLT will randomly throw a seatbelt warning - either front passanger or rear passanger. Then the next time I get in the truck, it will be gone. Days or even weeks will pass and another error message is given, but only until the next time I start...
It is time for me to rotate my tires - which I do myself - but I have read conflicting instructions on the pattern.
Front 2 criss-cross to back and back forward to the front.
Is there a particular reason for this? What about just moving front to back and back to front on same side?
Thanks
A2Z is a 3rd party provider, not the official Ford adapter. But for many of us, it will be months before the Ford adapter arrives. Whenever mine finally arrives, I will either keep this as a backup or sell it.
But for now, it makes traveling much more convenient having so many options to charge.
I just charged at Tesla using the A2Z adapter and everything was flawless - plug and play, peak of 165 kw charge speed. I had to take 2 spots, but it was not full.
This is a game changer for traveling.
So, you're saying that the Tesla charger navigation will be in a future update since I do not currently have it -- or that it should have been included in the update I just received?
1: I just received the Tesla charger update in 23 XLT. When searching for chargers in the navigation page, should it show available Tesla chargers? Mine does not
2: What Power update brings the charge assist feature. I still have not received it.
I have the 12 inch infotainment screen...
