My truck use to have brake hold. You would push on the brake at a stop and a small light would come on the bottom left of the gauge cluster. Now it doesn’t do it. Was there something in an update that deactivated it or did something accidentally get turned off?
I love the idea about getting charged extra if you leave your vehicle plugged in after it has reached fully charged. I ran into that recently at a resort that had free charging. Someone left their Volvo plugged in for 12 hours and it was just a plug in hybrid. Fully charged after two hours...
I know dozens of people with Tesla’s and you would be the first to say anything negative. Interesting. Sorry you had a bad experience. I was more going off the reliability of EVs in general, not specifically Teslas.
This is simple, don’t buy an EV truck. Maybe a Tesla is a better option, or a plug in hybrid. Our lightning is great for our lifestyle, but they are not for everyone.
Since having my lightning I have often thought of being in your situation. I grew up in Texas. If I had an EV in that state I think I would always have a 10kw generator in the bed with 10 gallons of fuel if I went on any road trip. It sounds ridiculous I know. As much fun as they are, they just...
So the difference, if my math is correct, is about 4 hours. 11 hours to a full charge at 11 KWH, 7 hours at 17 kwh. This is based off a dead truck needing about 120 kwh. Why do you need to be charged 4 hours sooner? Either way, if you drain the battery most the way it will still be charged...
If you are ready to get rid of a vehicle because of a blinker out of sinc, you may have other issues. You dont need a new vehicle, you need a therapist.
