  1. Thought on our frigid 1,300 mile trip

Glad you made it! It does seem crazy that most of the companies that make DCFC’s have so many issues but Tesla does not seem to?
  2. I love this truck but GD!

I understand where you’re coming from being in Minnesota, it may not have worked for you but you cannot really compare a Maverick to a Lightning. I was driving an Expedition, EL and started looking at the Maverick hybrid because I was getting 16 or 17 miles per gallon and was tired of it, 40ish...
  3. I love this truck but GD!

Here is an interesting article that was very recently posted on insideevs.com: https://insideevs.com/features/703378/how-cold-affects-electric-vehicles/
  4. How pessimistic is the Mi/kWh display on the dash?

If you truly had OCD, you would call it CDO!
  5. How pessimistic is the Mi/kWh display on the dash?

I have only noticed a .1 mi/kWh difference between the dash and iPad screens! Do others see more than this difference?
  6. Cabin warming

Speak for yourself!🤣😂🤣 The cold is good to visit, but not to live in IMHO! You probably feel the same about the heat!
  7. Finally pulled the trigger

That is a great deal! I hope you love yours as much as I love mine! What year? Did you get the Tesla NACS adapter with your purchase? If you did not and drive long distances/road trip I would recommend getting one!
  8. Did Tesla get Gov't money for opening NACS? Also NEVI is disappointingly slow

So this is slightly off-topic, but not entirely! I truly think you have to look at the whole picture regarding Tesla/musk. This is a fairly good article talking about how much money the government has directly and indirectly given to the company/him...
  9. Did Tesla get Gov't money for opening NACS? Also NEVI is disappointingly slow

That must be the Bucees in Temple. They also have some on the Mercedes-Benz charging network I believe. I used the superchargers there end of September. It shows Tesla 68 stalls and Mercedes-Benz 8! That is laughable.
  10. It's All About the Delta (and Temperature, but the BMS will Protect You) -- Test: Effect of temperature on battery cells life

I think lower thermal stability comment had more to do with the way our battery packs are made or the difference between them and the battery cells/packs from other manufacturers. I.e. Ford packs versus GM packs or Tesla, etc.
  11. It's All About the Delta (and Temperature, but the BMS will Protect You) -- Test: Effect of temperature on battery cells life

I read this twice as well, even though this is well out of my wheelhouse (so far out that I am in a rowboat and you are in a rocket😂🤣😂)and I think you overall nailed it except for maybe this one thing he said @MickeyAO said: “On the side, I ran my own test cycling between 80% (actual so 85% SOC...
  12. It's All About the Delta (and Temperature, but the BMS will Protect You) -- Test: Effect of temperature on battery cells life

Congratulations on your second retirement! Thank you for your service! Thank you for providing us any and all of the information that you are able to!
  13. Trade in for upgrade?

Personally, I love my 23 lariat ER and will drive it until the wheels fall off unless when the next gen (T3 ?)truck comes out It is just too much better that I just can’t resist!
  14. Leaving Lightning unplugged for a couple weeks

I’m glad the man is here to help! Obviously, that would be you😂🤣😂
  15. Leaving Lightning unplugged for a couple weeks

That must be where I remember the 50% from! So for a couple of weeks it doesn’t matter??
  16. Leaving Lightning unplugged for a couple weeks

I believe best practices is to store it at 50% or less for how long I have no idea. Perhaps someone with better information will post.
  17. Propulsion sound?

I always thought we should have like a thunderstorm sound option!
  18. Propulsion sound?

I think the electric motors produce a minimal sound under heavy acceleration! That is something a friend told me because I drive mine only on Sunday to church.🤣😂🤣
  19. Wheel Well Liner Misshapen/Misaligned

The “fiber”material on the front fender wells is quite thick. I have sprayed mine off at my car wash ”pressure washed” many times with no issues.
  20. Ford Charge Station Pro vs. Tesla Universal Wall Connector

That is a tough one! I installed my FCSP so I could have the 80 amp charging after receiving it in April. I installed solar with a powerwall 3 in July. I would hope that someday I would be able to use the lightning as an additional battery but I am not going to purchase the HIS unless they make...
