I spoke to some of the Ford people at the Electrify Expo in Dallas and some of them were on the HIS side of things they wouldnāt (or couldnāt )say much, but from what I could glean from what they did say was that the existing system is what it is. There may be something (better?)coming with the...
I looked into Base energy, but it wasnāt that great of a deal since I have solar. I think at the time they would buy it for me for three cents and sell it back to me for nine cents or something along those lines. I know that changed some things, but I havenāt looked back into it.
Yeah, I know about hail I live in the metroplex too! Pics from the 2016 storm we had! Within 24 hours
I was going to install additional panels as well as the power walls, but it didnāt work out with my previous solar company, but I saved about four grand through Tesla plus the tax credit! So...
Only thing I would add is on number two:
Correct you donāt have 80 amp charging but it doesnāt really matter for DCFC. It should be plenty to charge overnight unless youāre driving close to 300 miles every day.
That stinks!
I had another company do my solar install, but just added more powerwalls (expansion packs)through Tesla I did add the rider on my insurance. Hopefully, I wonāt have to use it.š¤š¼
$1108 increase in maintenance! Tires?
Not sure if solar would be feasible for you, but I would definitely look into it with those electric rates! ROI would be massive.
Yeah, it sounds like yāall have some pretty crazy rules up there! I purchased mine in Maryland and drove it home to Texas, none of the craziness that your provinces have but it did cost me a few hundred more doing it that way because of Texas laws, but I saved a ton more than that.
16% ??
I have owned many Ford vehicles just never an F150! Mustangs, fusion hybrid, and a bunch of expeditions all but one being EL. But I am not going back to ICE soā¦ā¦ could be the end of owning Ford vehicles, but I plan on driving this one for a few years and then see whatās next. Things have...
I park on an upward slope toward my garage, so I have always used my parking brake (even when it doesnāt do it on its own) because it is habit even when not parking at home.
You are not wrong in part one!
Being hung up on maintenance at least for me it is because with the current iteration of the Ford lightning, there is virtually no maintenance at all!!!
I have done my own oil changes and 99% of the other maintenance for my and my childrenās vehicles for longer...
I believe Ford even mentioned a locomotive in their release for those still confused maybe this helps or maybe it will confuse you more!
A diesel locomotive operates by converting diesel fuel into mechanical energy through a diesel engine, which powers electric generators that drive traction...
