So i took the truck on a road trip mid week and didn’t get a chance to wash it until this weekend. There are yellow spots left behind where i removed two bugs. Any ideas on how to remove the stains? I have tried pretty much everything i can think of within reason.
Install wasn’t too bad, took my time and it probably took about 45 minutes total. I seem to recall removing the boot on one side and forcing it thru in the other. Can’t say one was markedly easier than the other.
Congrats on the new truck! As you have already discovered, this forum is full of great info provided by very intelligent and knowledgeable members. Enjoy.
I drive roughly twenty miles round trip to work daily. My question is should I charge once every two weeks or top the battery back up to 80% every eveNing when I get home? I’ve searched the net, and opinions are all over the place on this it seems. I would prefer to plug it in nightly to...
On my install, I have a 60 amp breaker, #6 wire to hots and #8 for ground. Set to 48 amps max in app.
Any issues if I turn off breaker to charger when not in use? Overkill if I do?
Thanks for your replies & insight btw.
Hi, curious if this temp reading is normal. Charger has been ide, not plugged in to truck, for roughly twenty hours. Ambient temp outdoors as well as the garage is 70-72 degrees. Seems this is a bit high, just wanting to verify it’s normal.
Ok so I am getting the 14-50 receptacle added (on its own circuit.). One quick question prior to install this Friday. I know the FCSP instructions call for 3 gauge wire, but that is for 80 amp charge/100amp breaker. With my current situation, I will be set up for 48 amps charging/60 amp...
Hi all. I finally got my Ford charge station pro a few days ago. Electrician is scheduled to wire it up this week. In y’all’s opinion, should I get a nema 14-50 receptacle installed also as a backup if FCSP fails? Assuming this is doable and not cost prohibitiv, I was thinking it would be...
To circle back and kind of wrap up my tow hook question, I installed the ford blue hooks today (the actual hooks, not the silicone covers) and am quite pleased with the look. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread, much appreciated.
I considered these but fear it may look like i put a piece of silicone over my tow hooks. Anyone have real world experience with these regarding how the look?
Curious if anyone has swapped out tow hooks. I’m looking at adding these oem blue ones (part number M18954F15B, picture attached) Most sites seem to suggest they will fit, but I did see a site suggesting the lightning tow hooks are different than the ICE f-150s. Took one of my tow hooks off...
