Yeah I just mean our current trucks that we bought with the $7500 credit. If it gets totaled after sept 30 then getting a replacement is $7500 more expensive?
After reading this comment it occurred to me, will there be anything different in these scenarios with the $7500 fed tax credit being erased? It’s gonna be harder to get a fair price replacement after sept 30th, no?
Mine got stuck momentarily once when I did the fold down so I could open the worktop and have lunch. Luckily it responded when I tried the button to lift it again after several attempts. But it was then that I ordered the rotary shifter from a Ford escape which I now keep as a backup in the...
I’m in the truck right now and just parked at an appointment. I guess I drive like a grandpa most times 🤷‍♂️
I just realized I wrote kw/mi instead of mi/kwh above but luckily this crowd knew what I meant.
My quick rule of thumb is:
Summer = 2.5 kw/mi
Winter = 1.8 kw/mi (temps below 45F)
Towing = 1.0 kw/mi
Just take those numbers and multiple by your pack size. ER is 131kw so:
Summer = 327mi range
Winter = 235mi
Towing = 131mi
Note that there are some things only dealerships can do in FDRS due to added security. But from what I’ve read (but not done myself) there is a lot you can still do.
At least 2025 Lightning and Mach-e is eligible though, right? Not 2024 though. Which is strange to me because you’d think you’d want to get rid of any older inventory. But maybe there isn’t any with the EVs.

I somehow threaded the needle on all these dates in this notice about the misaligned electrodes. My build date was Dec 13, 2023. But as far as I understand these dates were narrowed down further to between Jan 3, 2022 April 1, 2023.

Yeah it sounds like maybe it wasn’t wired for a “bonded neutral” generator, which I’ve read is what the Lightning is. Probably an easy fix for the electrician.
