This is great info. Unlike most built in maps, I actually like the Ford map but I really need the Tesla chargers to show up to make it useful for road tripping. That particular Tesla supercharger update seems to be a different type of update than the ones that updates streets etc right?
I just put a little piece of blue tape on the button that opens the moonroof to remind me to never open it :). I feel like once a single pine needle has fallen in the track you’re done for.
Thanks everyone. I had my hopes up it meant updates were coming but I’ll just have to wait. This is my first Ford so I’m not familiar with the legacy use of that software updates page on ford.com but it’s making slightly more sense now. It would be amazing if we could just update the truck with...
Not sure if this has been discussed here, but when I look at my FordPass app I don’t see any pending OTA updates. But when I log into ford.com and select my vehicle and choose “software updates” I can see two pending updates for my Lightning. Has anyone else experienced this? I had noticed...
Ok looks like this was a false alarm in my case. Out of sheer coincidence it looks like the FordPass app was having a bad day when I first parked at the new house and I assumed it was the house location having a weak signal since my iPhone also showed a weak cell signal. But a couple days later...
Were you parked on an incline? Parking brake is supposed to automatically engage at certain degrees of incline (not sure what the threshold is). Maybe it detected the incline but the brake didn’t engage?
I was just at a dealership to charge yesterday (Stoneham Ford in MA) and I assumed it would be plug and charge but it wasn’t. But I relearned that blue oval and plug and charge are two different things.
Well this is officially the coolest thing I’ve seen done on this forum. So surprised it just worked without any programming. Kudos to Ford engineers if that’s the case.
I’ll add to the unproven speculation 🙂. If I’m Ford I’d be simultaneously designing the ground up universal EV platform (smaller EVs like Ranger size, Explorer, etc) but also continuing to evolving the full sized F150 Lightning. Gen 1 Lightning was an ICE F150 converted into an EV. The Gen 2...
Buying used direct from an owner is always an option too on places like facebook marketplace, etc. I’d definitely want to test drive and odb scan any used vehicle before purchase.
Well that's fun. I'll try a few different parking positions but if that doesn't help I guess I'll look into something like this? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CL68VH5X?ref=emc_p_m_5_i_atc&th=1
That is a real bummer. I’m seeing a lot of totaled Lightning posts in various places (Facebook, Reddit) due to deer season too. If it were me I’d try to find another Lightning, probably used with low miles and one that matches or exceeds the trim level and features I already have.
I just moved to a new home that has really poor cellular service. I haven’t yet setup WiFi at the new house. I noticed that I can’t even remote start the truck via the app because it seems the truck can’t receive the signal over cellular. So I’m really hoping that when I do setup WiFi later this...
Even though I commented early about the front sonar beepy sensors being slow to react, I’m now remembering at least two times the truck alerted me to an imminent crash ahead. Once when traffic stopped on the highway and I was still accelerating with the accelerator pedal towards it. The other...
In general I find the front sonar sensors to be severely delayed. And I had the front sensor CSP done and it’s still the same. The back ones work great, but the front ones will let me drive straight into my closed garage door before they even begin beeping.
