Try reading the entire post and you will soon discover that you are incorrect. If you read it I am criticizing the cheap cord that I bought a year after the install that wasn't work. Before posting a comment and it is always recommended that you read the entire post.

To be safe, I called Generac to ask them. They suggested their 25' cord. I have ordered it and will update after I receive it.

I actually did both of those suggestions. Both the 10' and the 25' continuity test the same. Connecting them together also produces the ground fault. Puzzling!
