Trying to install a tonneau cover and realized that tailgate won’t close on drivers side because it looks to be sitting too high relative to bed rail (that the cover rail attaches to). Can I adjust heigh of tailgate without just bending the tonneau cover rail upward? Passenger side is fine.

What's the verdict on this? Worth it? Necessary?
