I have had 2 of these installed with my Tesla Solar/Powerwall/Gateway system for like 2 years. They used to use the exact same functionality from an outfit named Neurio Technology. Neurio got bought by Generac and then Tesla replaced all their Neurio installs with Tesla Remote Meter units. Well...
I tested this out long ago on my F350 and didn't rotate the tires. I went 97K and replaced all 4. the fronts were slightly more worn from tuning but nothing worth spending $80 over rotating them every 10K or less over. I have never rotated my tires since.
I received this update last night as well on my 2023 XLT SR. I have ACC and I also have the Speed Sign Recognition turned on. I will try to see if this makes any changes to my truck's habits. There is a stretch of road very close to my house that this curve slowing feature would be very welcome...
I have the A2Z version of this cable and it has worked on 3 different EVs I have owned while I have had it for maybe 2 years now? I use it daily on the Lightning. It even works on my previously owned, very finicky, 2019 Bolt. I charge at the full 48 amp capability of my charger. It is a very...
I have a 1923 Ford T and a 2023 Lightning, they share a garage. I long ago swapped out the original Ford four banger for a chevy 350 and TH350 tranny. I have to admit, it never occurred to me they are 100 years apart... The other occupants of that garage are a 64 Meyers Manx and my wife's 2025...
I almost exclusively use FPL (Florida Power and Light) DCFC chargers when running around the state and Tesla outside FL. Price has been a solid $0.30 for several years from FPL without any subscription plans. However, as of 1/2026, that goes up to $0.45 systemwide. That's a 50% increase. There...
So here’s my experience towing a 8.5’x20’ enclosed flat nose car hauler with my ‘23 SR in the Orlando area. I wIl get 98 miles from 100% to 10% left almost every time I haul one of my fairly lightweight cars behind my truck. I found 55-60 to be optimal on a mix of back roads and freeways. I...
I have had this happen many times both on my 2023 SR and on my 2019 Chevy Bolt over the last few years when charging only at EA DCFCs. I spoke to an EA tech rep a few years back and they said that their DCFC connector contacts to the vehicles charge port can act up as they get older and the...
I have 28 % xpel ceramic all around and the same on windscreen to the AS1 line. it is a massive upgrade from stock and came from the tint shop with a Florida State compliance sticker affixed to door jamb that the Florida Highway Patrol looked at once when I got stopped for it. They just nodded...
I have an A2Z extension cord in use on my hardwired Enel Juicebox V2 with a OpenEVSE board inside. It has worked without fail on my Lightning, Chevy Equinox EV and Chevy Bolt. I have been running it at 48amp amp max output of the Juicebox. Seems to be just fine but it does get slightly warm but...
I installed FordPass 5.28 on Sept 15th via standard Apple APP Update facility and my home screen doesn't look anything like that. I am missing the "controls" button and the "Productivity and PRO Power" sections and I certainly have the 9.6 Pro Power. I am on IOS 26.1 Beta. I have a 2023 SR.
Washington state electricity is cheap because of the Federal Columbia River Power System (aka Grand Coulee/Bonneville/etc hydroelectric system). Built starting in like the late 1930's by the ACOE. I think Grand Coulee is still the biggest hydro plant in the USA. That is some amazing renewable...
It's another choice that can be made, I wouldn't agree it is a good financial one or maybe even an environmental one. The cost of a large BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) at utility scale is immense but declining AND it is just another source of intermittent power. You still need something...
There is a complex cost relationship between utility provided intermittent renewable energy generation and the need for utility natural gas (generally) equivalent dispatch-able power generation for when the renewable sources fail to shine or blow. Many states are running the basically flawed...
