  1. Appointment just "gets you in line?" Is this a Ford thing?

Waxahachie. My whining may have helped. It went from maybe Thursday to maybe todayā€¦ when I look on my Ford Pass, I see itā€™s actually in the garage now, not the back lot. I called Ennis and they also confirmed they follow the appointment = in line practice. I previously asked for...
  2. Appointment just "gets you in line?" Is this a Ford thing?

Yikes! šŸ˜³ Iā€™d be counting all my out-of-service days closely and looking at lemon law options if I were in your shoes.
  3. Appointment just "gets you in line?" Is this a Ford thing?

Well, I hope this means itā€™s not a general Ford policy or ruleā€¦ I was surprised when another dealer about 20 minutes away said they do the same thing and thatā€™s what made me think it could be systemic. Hopefully I just need to find and use a different dealer?
  4. Appointment just "gets you in line?" Is this a Ford thing?

So, I got the letter about CSP 24B56 the other day and called to schedule the update/service. I was glad that the beeping annoyance would hopefully soon be over. My local dealer said they could pick up the truck, service it, and return it to me. They said it shouldn't take too long. Sweet...
  5. Disabling F-150 Lightning's Beeps, Dings, Chimes, Honks, Bings, Bongs, and Dongs

Does it matter what year/model injector? From looking online it looks like there are some different plugs, so I want to make sure I get the right fit.
  6. DFW Dealerships that understand the Lightning?

Yeah, I was hoping one of the local dealers would have mobile service. So far I havenā€™t one on my side of the Metroplex (Waxahachie). I work in Grand Prairie, so maybe I can find one that will visit me there.
  7. DIY: Installing Passive Entry To A 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

I woke up early this morning, couldn't quite get myself back to sleep, so I decided to make a run at this. Thanks for the tips on testing the signal function from the buttons. It was a confidence boost. When I got to running the firmware flash, everything worked fine. I probably died a...
  8. DIY: Installing Passive Entry To A 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

Door handle and harness installed. Took me somewhat longer than I anticipated. Replacing the paintable door handle with the ABS textured one from a Bronco handle was about the easiest part for me. I didn't bother watching the videos, so I apparently did it differently than they showed... I...
  9. DFW Dealerships that understand the Lightning?

I'm wondering if any of y'all have had a good experience with the service department or advisor at any of the area dealerships? I bought in Houston, as the deal couldn't be matched here... I'm having the parking sensor issue on my new 23 XLT and it looks like I need some FDRS updates. I...
  10. DIY: Installing Passive Entry To A 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

I just ordered the parts for this. Once they come, and I have a chance to install, I will have a harness available for you. If youā€™re not in a hurry, hit me up in a bit. Also, Iā€™m super thankful I insulated my garage and put a mini-split in it. When it comes to project days, Iā€™m no longer...
  11. Introductions & Welcome Thread šŸ‘‹

I was a day one reservation holder, but by the time I was called, I chickened out (rising costs, interest rates, addendums, no tax rebate, etc). Well, things have gotten better and I scored a rocking deal on this new 23 XLT. Iā€™m excited to be here!!
  12. DIY: Installing Passive Entry To A 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

Iā€™m looking at doing this mod and the adaptive cruise for my 23 XLT 311A. Frankly, I find the ForScan/computer side of it terrifying. The actual install looks right up my alley. So, do yā€™all recommend doing these two mods separately? If so, which one is better to attack first? or just do...
