    I had the same issue with mine but mine was overheating since I installed it inside a box. I also removed the front cover but it still derated with same lights as yours. I added a fan to vent the box and its been charging at the full 80A since then.

    Yes, I leave it plugged in. Once CarPlay connects to sync I open app on sync screen and tap on connect, when I get to my location I tap on disconnect. If I forget to do this car scanner wont connect the next time and I have to remove OBD device and re insert and this resets it.
