What is the cost to change the lightning battery out of warranty? Also, I thought cell cases. Old be replaced rather than the whole battery?

That Dollar amount in my post above is from the Wallbox app which better accounts for the full amount of energy that it pulls from the grid. In my case, I lose about 4.5% going from grid to car battery. That has been consistent for me across both my Ford EVs.

As a reference, I just went from 20% to 100% overnight at 40 amps (L2 charging). It cost me $14.66. Just add an L2 charger at the farm and be done with it 😄

Looks really great. I really like the car in white! I have invested a bunch in PPF’ing and Modesta coating my Mach-E. I am trying to figure out what to do with the Lightning. What parts of the Lightning should get PPF for example. Should I Modesta coat it?

I guess my question is whether a $15,000 “repair“ is that big of a deal after 200,000 miles. I know that ice vehicles require engine and transmission and all sorts of repairs after that amount of use.

Would an extended warranty be an option?

I am good with my ‘24 Lariat. I snagged one with Max Tow and Pro Power. It’s got the heat pump. Nice car so far! Xplan got me 6500 in rebates on a lease (will buy it out at lease end).

Right. If it is in HomeKit, you don’t need an app for CarPlay because the door is integrated into your HOME. The icon is active. It will say open, closed, opening, or closing, depending upon what happens.

It has to show up in your Apple “Home” for it to show up on the CarPlay front page. Basically, the opener needs to support Apple HomeKit. I will take a photo when I get home.

I don’t trust home link. I personally know instances where home link was used to gain access to the house. Ever consider using your phone to open/close the garage door? In fact, in CarPlay, when I am near home, there is a garage door button on the screen.

He the same issue in my ‘24 when I first got it. I don’t recall whether the replaced the ACM or it was a loose plug plus some settings.

I really wanted the active-x in my 24 Lariat. Unfortunately, the available ones didn’t have max tow and pro power. The leather is ok, but was not my preference.

While I didn’t go with the decked system, I just added a couple of their containers to keep stuff dry. Thanks for the recommendation.
