  1. Charging cable run under garage door

Agreed. My has been up and running since this time last year. However, the ease of which the gasket goes on depends on variables like the gasket holder at the bottom of the door, and the length of the door. My combo was very hard to complete, and required two people from the garage door...
  2. Heated steering wheel barely gets warm

From 10 o’clock to two o’clock are the warmest, but the wheel is so big that most people, including me hold it at 9 and 3. There is a way to change the target temp with FORScan. There is a recent discussion on this.
  3. Tesla Supercharger fizzled out on me today

Another not great performance at a Tesla station. This time in CA with a rental Mach-e with weather of 44 degrees. It’s just so different than my experience earlier in the year.
  4. Charging cable run under garage door

The gasket seal was indeed a pain. Because we have a double width garage door, I had to have a door company come to change it (needed two guys). Is was cheap enough.
  5. Charging cable run under garage door

No need to have something else with similar height on the other side, as as long as you use the proper gasket, and you set the garage door stopping point. Worst case scenario, is that you add a second Undor to the other side. They come in a box of two anyway.
  6. Charging cable run under garage door

Works absolutely great. You will need to replace rubber gasket at bottom of the garage door with a thicker one. https://a.co/d/fUdQEfx
  7. Tesla Supercharger fizzled out on me today

Great points. Since the EA charger down the worked fine I am going to assume the Tesla charger was the issue. I will say that it had a long cord, so I assumed it was a newer generation.
  8. Tesla Supercharger fizzled out on me today

I should start by saying that when I travel, I have been renting either a lightning or a mache -e, and using an electron adapter to charge a Tesla. Today, I happened to be traveling a little bit further from my house, to Bothell, Washington. I decided to test my A2Z and Ford manufactured...
  9. Edmunds comparison review: Silverado RST vs F-150 Lightning Lariat

The issue with the Midgate is that absent a water tight sealed cover for the bed, it is only useful for short trips and only in good weather. Not cold, wet, snowy weather. That makes it of very limited use in many locations. If Edmunds reviews cars in California I can understand why they...
  10. BlueCruise 1.4 Road Trip Observations

Ah. Is there an OTA number to look out for? I do get OTA periodically but not sure which one relates to 1.4, unless it says 1.4 :) I have a 24 and would have thought that would have been an easy and early roll out.
  11. [Solved] Post Dealer Repair FDRS errors help

I reran the tests this morning after charging last night and all the codes are gone. Thanks for checking for me :). Happy Holidays!
  12. Best Protective Floor Mats?

I had the Ford HP (nice, but doesn’t cover the dead pedal area well. I then bought weather tech HP front, which is very good quality, but I bought the wrong color and the cost of returning was not worth it. I currently have TuxMat in front and back. I really like them. And the back is nice...
  13. [Solved] Post Dealer Repair FDRS errors help

Hi, My dealer replaced the blower motor last week. Since there were updates for the mach-e and no rain today I updated the mach-e. I decided to just check the lightning. I have not seen the three errors shown in the pic. Any advice? Note I did not run any updates today, and just ran the...
  14. Does OBD or Forscan show Cabin temp?

Ok, with access to Car Scanner and a decent scientific thermometer, and testing with an outdoor temp of 48 degrees, my test shows that the car’s interior temp deviates from the actual temp by being between 2 degrees and 4. 5 degrees higher (let’s call it an average of of 3-3.5 degrees). That...
  15. Does OBD or Forscan show Cabin temp?

So it’s obviously not right near the driver’s head, but knowing how it reacts relative to how I feel lets me correlate. It’s in a spot where closer to the vents than I am. I tracked it on the way home from a restaurant, including how it changes when I change the temp. It’s clear that at a...
