Don't play games, I never claimed Ford couldn't or shouldn't provide a better implementation. But claiming pushing two buttons that are right next to each other and choosing to cover the screen are very very difficult is just complaining to try and make this a bigger issue than it is...
Err, you just leave it running and hit the HVAC button.
If you are starting and stopping the truck multiple times its maybe what, one more button press than turning "continious" on. I dont think there is a complicated "checklist" needed every time here.
I had 6112s on my Tacoma and it achieved all the goals you are trying to achieve.
The 5100s are also well regarded for firming up the ride. The 6112s are a larger body shock and likely include better valving and components, however it is entirely possible the 5100s would achieve the same goals...
No, this has been the real world experiance by more than one. The fact that it needs a minimum draw is undocumented, that's not much of a surprise.
Again, this is wrong. The Pro Power does NOT stay on if draw on the system is less than the minimum. A few tests showed the draw needed is just...
Yep. There was a distinct drop in current and it took quite a while, however in total quite a bit of energy was still added without the reported energy increasing.
It also took quite a while for these battery to drop off of 100% SOC on the display.
My guess is the energy amount is calculated...
I have seen as low as 126, and as high as 131.5
I have also monitored this while charging and did see the battery top out at 131 when at 99%, and charging to 100% added a significant amount of energy but the energy to empty did not change.
Take what bait? He didn't ask if his truck could GO that many miles, he asked if they changed how they calculate range, which they appeard to do at some point.
When a truck that has a nominal range of 320 miles, it showing nearly 380 is certainly something worth asking to figure out what in...
An app on the truck, that is there to do one job, that doesnt do that job, is dumb. That isnt a user knowledge problem, aside from this forum I have recieved NO notification from Ford, folks should not have to follow internet forums for this. If its there it shoukd work, if it doesnt work it...
IMO the difference is in the availability of charging and the rate at which you consume battery.
The very few times I have had the gas light come on unexpectedly the worry was basically zero, I knew there was a fueling station within range and all i had to do was move my eyes to find one. The...
You are comparing apples to bricks there though.
Pretty reasonable to expect an ICE F150 to get 18mpg at 70mph. With gas prices here that's about $0.18 per mile, at $5 a gallon that's around $0.27 per mile.
My recent EA experiance was $0.56 per kwh, at 1.9m/kwh in my lightning that's $0.29...
I can guarentee it does not use hundreds of miles when you start. I just posted a thread discussing getting to a low SOC. To achieve that, and Immediately prior to charging up from that (to 100%) i took the battery from 38% to 5% in a single highway drive of over an hour with speeds over 70mph...
I just returned from a 70 minute drive monitoring the GOM and watched the GOM go UP when my speeds changed from 60mph to a 35mph drive through town.
When traveling down country roads I was loosing about 12 miles per 5% SOC lost, then on more steady 60mph stretch with the HVAC on high that was...
I have been messing with the GOM over the last few days too.
My thoughts
The GOM uses a short term rolling average, maybe 5 or 10 minutes. But, above 80% it starts adding a bias to make the range appear more optimistic (or uses the previous average from the typically slow driving the few miles...
