I started off with 1PD and switched it off after it engaged the break on snow and skidded a bit. With 2PD, I'm actually coasting when able, using regen to slow, and the big improvement...not flashing my brake lights every time I take my foot off the gas. not sure if I'll go back when the roads...
I updated myself to 1.4 but even prior to that, Bc has worked really well for me. I would pay to upgrade however would like to see expansion of supported roads to āminorā highways and not disengage under toll readers.
I traded in a Mach e premium for a used Lariat Lightning with about the same amount of negative equity on my E. However I was able to pay cash for the truck and was OTD at 64K.
For me, the mustang wasnāt working for my family and while the 9K was painful, it wasnāt a deal breaker. If you can...
I had to disable in lane positioning. Mine was swaying me in the lane everytime even a medium sized vehicle went by and triggering vertigo. My thinking is the lightning just takes up a large chunk of the lane that itās super sensitive to nearby vehicles. This didnāt happen in my Mach e which...
Same experience as me. Note that you do āhaveā BC 1.4. While you havenāt enabled the new toggles for lane change functionality (which IMO is more a gimmick), you do benefit from improved functionality and should experience fewer dropouts and smoother behavior.
I donāt have FDRS access so canāt confirm exactly. My loose notes has it down as the CMR driver status monitor camera module. I can share my VIN if thatād be helpful
Lack of seat belt being the cause of all this anxiety is somewhat hilarious. š
I always wear mine so no wonder I have zero issues. To each their own but I had no idea not wearing a seat belt was so common.
I used FDRS to update to BC 1.4 and made the necessary changes in FORSCAN, and tested out on my morning commute today.
It works very well. I never had a real problem with disengaging but felt old BC was very jerky and freaked out if cars pulled in front of me. 1.4 is much smoother and does...
Iām relieved to report my blue cruise worked perfectly on my commute this morning, only disengaging as expected near toll transponder readers. Definitely noticed a smoother experience with 1.4 and zero unnecessary nags (I did do a driver alertness calibration).
I donāt remember the order I...
Iām not an expert by any means. It sounds like the cause of the issue is unknown and the fix is yet to be determined. It only seems to affect FDRS users rather than OTA, so perhaps there is a method to the OTA lottery.
I just did this. With a proper power supply (I used a 75a powermax unit), it went smoothly. Some recent reports of FDRS updates breaking BC entirelyā¦recommendation is to hold off on an IPMA update for the time being.
I have the same experience. Itās ācoolā but with oncoming traffic, just seems like low beams all around. Then when itās clear it slowly turns on high beams.
Mentioned in another thread but I updated my IPMA in FDRS and the PSCM update was not clearing. Despite running the IPMA configuration and ensuring there were no DTCs, the PSCM still wouldnāt clear. Everything seems to be workingā¦front parking sensors arenāt blocked randomly and BC is working fine.
What's the process and timeline for configuration? My FDRS license is expiring shortly. Is it worth it to try the configuration or does the update clearing not matter?
Happy to report that all my FDRS updates appeared to go smoothly. My 75a Powermax kept my LVB voltage comfortably above 12v the whole time.
I am running into an issue where FDRS isnāt clearing some of the software updates after completion (PSCM, RFA, and the front audio module). Iāve reran all...
Yes I was being sarcastic. My issue isnāt with the updates not installing, itās that Iām not pushed the updates OTA at all, despite them being available in FDRS. unfortunately there is no magic formula or technique to get the updates pushed.
