  1. Thought on our frigid 1,300 mile trip

Only l3ā€™s work using Tesla adapter in my experience. I made the mistake of thinking I could use an L2 on a trip and ended up having to hit a campsite for a few hours instead. (Thankfully šŸ˜…)
  2. Most Plus topper

Brand is ā€œMost Plusā€ just like in the subject. Mostplusauto.com pulled it in the shop to melt the snow and got a photo from up top
  3. Most Plus topper

Sorry, not one to keep a bunch of photos of my truck stored on my phone. Had to go snap some quick, but it is snowing. One from the inside is showing built-in LEDs and the quick latch. That light is handy as heck for me because the button seems to be easier to find than the built-in lights.
  4. Most Plus topper

I love this thingā€¦.It is the first hardcover tonneau Iā€™ve ever had but it was affordable, installs easy, stores easy when you need to open it up and is strong enough for my 200 pound ass to walk on.
  5. Factory power connector - good dealer

Oh, they do they have a lightning for their runaround vehicle to drop people off. And I did notice on the Ford app before I picked it up. They were charging it at 7 kWh which is faster than Iā€™ve ever seen. I got my hopes up that it was the problem. But Iā€™m guessing they were using their charger...
  6. Factory power connector - good dealer

No i donā€™t unfortunately and I do have plans to get an aftermarket one, but with Christmas coming not in the budget. Just would like the one that came with the vehicle to work as it should. Every dealer has the tools to test the power cable according to Ford customer service, still waiting for a...
  7. Factory power connector - good dealer

Well, after getting the vehicle back now, the quality of their service comes into question. They did replace the charger port and the cable that goes from that to the battery pack, but it still behaves the same when charging at home. Buddies with an electrician, he checked it out and said...
  8. Pic - getting ready for ND winter. And park brake annoyance

Yeah, I spoke with my dealer about it actually and they shrugged their shoulders and had no idea. And after having one of their brand new loaners (2024 f150 with the 2.7), while mine was in the shop last week, the gasser does the same thing. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø
  9. Pic - getting ready for ND winter. And park brake annoyance

Is there a doing truck things thread? I guess I havenā€™t noticed one yet. No idea on the weight but my old F150 wouldā€™ve been squatted to the rubber stops. Iā€™m in agreement with you on the parking brake. Somethings are best left mechanical instead of electric.
  10. Pic - getting ready for ND winter. And park brake annoyance

šŸ˜ as for the parking brake whenever Iā€™m on flat ground and thereā€™s plenty of it around here, I can hear the parking brake automatically engage but when on any slight incline like my driveway, it doesnā€™t and when I put the vehicle in park, it rolls back and bounces on the parking ā€œgearā€. Unless...
  11. Lightning asked to be plugged in last night because it was cold.

Mineā€™s been telling me to plug it in when I turn it off when itā€™s in the 30s šŸ˜³ not that I do
  12. Factory power connector - good dealer

To answer adventureboy. It is the mobile connector that comes with the truck. No orange light on truck only on mobile connector. Pins were clean. heard back from the dealer this afternoon. Apparently they found a slightly loose pin on the truck. Ford authorized replacement. Parts will be in by...
  13. Rear motor replacement pic

Right? How dare they!! Thx for pic, good luck
  14. Factory power connector - good dealer

Yes it was. And Iā€™m hoping thatā€™s not the case. I just dropped it off this morning. They gave me a brand new truck with only 500 miles on it to drive in the meantime šŸ˜³šŸ˜…. Cord wasnā€™t getting warm, but the unit itself was a little warmish.
  15. Optimizing Battery Use During Winter?

Wait, so youā€™re saying that if itā€™s -40 out and the truck is sitting there unplugged it wonā€™t keep the batteries warm it will just let them freeze up ?!?!?! Iā€™m super confused because under departure times in the app you have to tell it to prepare cabin off plug or the departure time wonā€™t. if...
  16. Factory power connector - good dealer

So I have the orange and blue light issue thatā€™s been progressively getting worse over the last few weeks. I called my dealer who informed me Iā€™ll have to bring down the truck with the charger for them to test it which is a 50 mile drive for me and generally, a big pain sitting hours in a...
  17. Garage too small. Anyone park outside? In the snow?

No, I havenā€™t done that. Used to with my old 7.3 power stroke lol. I have a departure time programmed so it prepares the cabin, the batteries and the motors for me 10 minutes before my programmed departure time. I just only charge at work. Mainly because I have just one charger right now but...
  18. Garage too small. Anyone park outside? In the snow?

I only charge at work (so far). Here in northern North Dakota is already getting down into the low 20s at night. My lighting is sitting in the driveway frosty but warm inside when I leave in the morning. Maybe one percent of battery gone compared to when I put it to bed. Weā€™ll see what happens...
  19. Why Doesn’t Ford Lock the EVSE Plug Like Rivian?

Iā€™ve wondered the same. A holes are all over YouTube for unplugging teslas so not just a ford thing
  20. Over optimistic range every time I charge

I agree definitely pessimistic on long road trips. This is when Iā€™m returning to charge it but all part of the same issue with how it calculates range. Iā€™ve gotten to the point where I can almost do the math in my head and just look at state of charge instead, now that they finally fixed it and...
