Interesting. Iāve been under the impression that the switch to NACS was within the truck itself. The original Ford press release says that pretty explicitly (quoted below). Plans must have changedā¦
In 2025, Ford will offer next-generation electric vehicles with the North American Charging...
I took the charger + install and regret it.
The install was done professionally but it took 10 weeks to get the charger. My deal was signed 10/19/2024 so I could have gotten the $2k cash rebateā¦ I regret not taking that and just handling the install myself.
MY25+ are supposed to have the NACS...
Works with a Lariat except thereās not much in the way of space to tuck the wiring under the rain sensor cover/shroud (the flat plastic piece stuck to the windshield) so I just neatly wrapped the wiring and connector around the mirror stem. Iām sure Iāll never think about it again.
I also have a new ā24 Lariat - I ordered the mirror linked by the OP, arrives tomorrow, Iāll install with pictures to confirm itās indeed plug-n-play for our trucks.
These are indeed 115T, but thereās no concern with the reduced load rating since they still support the rear axle GAWR (4950 lbs).
One could install 113T tires (load rating each = 2535 lbs) and still support the rear GAWR.
Wanted to share with the community my new truck - itās a 2024 Lariat in AMB. Iāve leveled it, swapped the IMO ugly stock wheels and tires with a set of wheels from a Gen 13 Platinum and BF Goodrich Trail Terrains in the stock size.
