Is that a current good one for fordpass? Based on this forum (some other thread), I am on v1.70 of https://github.com/itchannel/fordpass-ha. But it's been static without any updates. However it does work. So I am... content?
I would love more access though. There's a lot of things in the...
Update from Katie at TMH:
The Terms and Conditions were purposefully vague when it comes to residential charge management services from The Mobility House. To be transparent, 2026 will be the first time TMH is participating in ConnectedSolutions using V2G—we want to understand the revenues that...
We're in W.Mass, and the Ford dealer in Greenfield (on Rt 2) seems to be decent and services ours (but we also bought it there.). They do have 5 free Blink 22kW chargers (in their employee parking lane.. So rarely available), and just installed two DCFC chargers. So they definitely seem EV...
Just heard back from TMH. Ford Lightnings can only discharge using the HIS system and FCSP.
(So solutions like the dcbel ara won't work with the Lightning)
Which is unfortunate, cause after looking at the dcbel ara on their site, it looks a solid generation ahead of the HIS.
They're also saying...
Sorry, I just got more info back; V2H is included, but only to shed load, or other online actions. It will not be enabled in case of grid loss. (Though I will be asking about that now)
Here's their FAQ based on common questions from the first 10 site assessments: (Questions from Joey, answers...
No Pro Power. So that won't work.
In a pinch I can plug the fridge and freezer in extension cords to the truck. But that's about it.
I have a 4kW stand-alone propane generator right now for power outages. But the 20lbs propane tanks only last about 12 hours.
I asked, and they do not know. So come Dec 2026 we may just have the "basic" Ford HIS system.
We may or may not be able to continue the V2X (which would require TMH or equivalent). That is also unknown, and depends on success of the program, and potential push from (state) govt.
And there will...
I just got an Eversource ConnectedSolutions peak event warning. They will lower my AC now, and then raise it a few degrees from 15:30-20:00. It's gonna be a scorcher.
They expect a large peak to happen from 3-8 with everyone coming home from work and turning on their AC.
It was both Joey and Corey. They confirmed Sunrun is doing the install. And that it will be the FCSP with HIS. But then TMH will do a software layer over that...
He also thought it would be a newer model of the FCSP. So even if you have one, it'll get replaced.
They are going to be working on an...
I got an email from Sunrun asking for the vehicle VIN.
I cannot do the FCSP. I have tried and given up getting that on the WiFi. I hope that doesn't become a showstopper.
I think the V2X demo will go in the direction of us selling electricity at a higher rate (during peak hours) and buying it at a lower rate during off hours.
I have solar (12kW), but that gives us about 10MW per year. Which is just our regular house usage. Geothermal and Lightning charging come...
I played dumb and submitted the $700 rebate request. (About a week or two ago when the website opened back up). I picked the Ford 80A charger from the list. We'll see what happens.
What $0.05/kWh discount is there? Is that a MA one, or Eversource/NationalGrid specific? (We're on Eversource. And...
Did they mention what charger? That Sunrun is specifically for the FCSP. And I for one cannot get mine to connect to my WiFi.. (And @Danface said they would install new chargers.. I was kind of counting on this so we have a model independent charger at the end (vs the Ford which is AC J-1772...
Yeah, we went from a 2014 F150 to the 23 Lightning, and insurance went up by almost $1000 with Allstate.
I'll try shopping around again this year. But (MA issues) we have 2 accidents on our record (someone else hit us when we still lived in NH, and was 100% their fault, and their insurance...
Yes! That's the goal.
My only potential issue is the charger right now is right next to the house (right outside of our dining room window, blocking our view a bit. It was installed in November so we didn't dig too much). And we want to move it 20 feet over. I'd happily pay for the delta in...
Since they are going to support the Lightning, Leaf, and now the Kia EV9, it needs to be generic equipment.
In the agreement, this is mentioned: (customer_participation_agreement.pdf)
As part of the Program benefits, Customers in the Commercial and School cohorts will receive a 5- year...
I am 99% sure the FCSP is not compatible. So for those of us that have it, they will remove it and replace it with a compatible charger.
This is what I think we'll be getting: ChargePilot® - Fleet Smart Charging Solutions
That's the controller that manages the flow and directs the charger...
