As of today 5/28 the right side is available but the left side is not yet.
I was hoping with the assembly lines being shut down, parts would become more available. Wishful thinking I guess.
My truck gave no indication that it was updated. The only reason I knew it happened was an alert in my FordPass app.
My OTA update had a description of "minor bug fixes and general maintenance" or some generic wording along those lines.
It didn't say anything useful
I could see how that would get frustrating having to do it constantly, but cant you just shut off bluetooth option on your phone while you are working and turn it back on when you are leaving the jobsite? Most phones have a quick access button for bluetooth.
My phone updated overnight to Android 11, on the way to work this morning I was able to mess with wireless Android Auto a little bit.
From my limited usage I really like it so far, not having to plug in is a definite upside.
Time will tell if it has buggy issues or not.
Leveling kits will not void your warranty, but if that's a concern for you then have your local Ford dealership install it, and have them do any future warranty work.
The leveling kit itself will effect your MPG very little. Where you lose the most is adding bigger, heavier tires.
That's a decent amount of weight for a 1/2 Ton to tow well. I know its shy of the max capabilities, but 10 years ago 10k lbs would be a lot of weight for an F150 to tow.
I really like the design and style of this diamondback on your trucks, its a cover I'm not familiar with.
My only complaint would be how high it sticks up from the bed rails, I like how low-pro the tri-folds are. But these diamondbacks look very solidly built and reliable.
Maybe I missed it...
Sounds like a neat concept, I wonder if things like that could be added to a vehicle. I mean, if Ford designed the system to be added to and expanded upon...
Every time I see this color I have buyers remorse, I'm in love.
I Should have waited a little bit to get the color I wanted. Beautiful truck, wheels and tires look great too.
I would wait until the aftermarket catches up. I'm not saying it isn't possible to do with factory parts, but its going to be involved and expensive... screen, harness, trim pieces, hardware, etc.
Then it would probably need a programming with Forscan of some sort.
You can use the previous gen LEVEL kits without issue. The difference in the 21 level kit from Ready Lift is it comes with cam bolts to make alignment easier. You can use the kit from 20 without issue, except that 2.5" can put more strain on your UCA and ball joints, but no one knows how...
I haven't seen any data on fuel saving being its main priority, but its a convenient bi-product and selling point.
I would bet it has more to do with satisfying emissions than it does to satisfying the end consumer, but that's a guess.
Passing along relevant info for anyone wanting to replace the factory short mudflaps, or air deflectors that are mounted in front of the rear wheels.
If you remove them there is a hole present in the quarter panel.
The trucks with extended running boards have a solution for a trim piece with...
I overdid it on mine, actually put rivets in all 6 locations instead of just the 4 corners.
I can see where it would be plenty strong without any rivets though.
Its a well built product and I like it a lot.
