  1. Read before you order! Expect 50% range loss in winter in Northern states.

I don’t think anyone mentioned it yet but consider the range hit if towing plus the range hit for cold and you have a REAL problem. Many have speculated a max range of 100 mile when towing heavy loads, now take that and half that in the winter? This just solidifies my decision to get a...
  2. 2022 Ford F150 King Ranch (Tow Mirrors)

I suspect you could get quite a few takers who would gladly trade you your tow mirrors for their standard mirrors. I drove both before buying and there is no comparison on the visibility difference and ease of backing up and parking. I will never buy another truck without large mirrors.
  3. Charge in motion

Exactly, if you are buying an electric truck to haul heavy loads any real distance it’s kind of like hammering a nail with an impact driver.
  4. Charge in motion

All great ideas but still impractical for long range towing. The best bet would be to put a 100 kw generator in the trailer. No matter what, the price of your trailer just doubled or maybe more so it would probably be cheaper to buy an extra F250 when you need to pull something. .
  5. Line-X chrome bumpers and repainting parking/proximity sensors

I don’t think that paint would adversely affect them but the title of the thread is Linex and I would not Linex them. Given that a fairly thin coat of ice throws them off, I would expect even the thinnest coat of Linex to do them in.
  6. Truck on Lot has small (1"), but deep scratch on drives door. What to do?

I'd have them paint it but would scritinize the hell of the job. The metalic paints can be a pain to match but given this is brand new, it shouldn't be too bad. Make sure they don't over spray anywhere and look at the blending job and paint match from a bunch of angles and in different lights...
  7. Final Steps to Bluecruise email

He has it set to show the trip data. The screens attached here are for the driver assistance screen which can also be selected. Personally, I think the driver assistance view is totally worthless. I thought that it would indicate if there were vehicles on either side detected but nope.
  8. 2021+ F-150 FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet ?

For those who have enabled the cameras in motion, does the rear view camera have a black “full view not available” text box in the middle of it while moving? My 22 came from the factory with the cameras enabled but the rear view is basically unusable because of the box. I’m trying to figure out...
  9. Towing. COUGAR 31’

As with all things...it depends. Mostly on what your payload and options are on your specific truck. You are going to need max tow and as much payload as you can get. You will easily be over 1k of hitch weight with that trailer when it's loaded. If you set it up right and stay within the...
  10. Onboard Scales, does yours read 0 when truck is as built off the line (no driver, no additional weight)?

Same thing here with my 22 PB. The payload mode of the onboard scales is pretty much worthless in my opinion. Mine was between 1/3 and 1/2 on day one with nothing added to the truck. If I load the truck up to what the scale says is max payload the bar turns red and doesn’t give any info. It...
  11. 2021+ F-150 FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet ?

Does the rear view camera still have the “full screen not available” black box? I would love to get rid of that!
  12. Pro Power Ground Locations

I thought Ford claims it to be a “software” problem?
  13. F-150 Lightning vs Rivian R1T : first live side-by-side comparison shot

The R1T may be smaller in size but it's payload and tow capacity is well aligned with the Lightening's.
  14. Trying to Find White Lettering on BF Goodrich 20" Tires

These BFGs appear to be a direct compeitor to the Perelli ATRs that come stock on our trucks. I'm not sure what the advantage of the Trail Terrain would be over the stock tire. Personally, I was happy to get a black sidewall on my 2022. I never liked the Perelli white lettering.
  15. Ground fault detected

As I've mentioned in the other thread, I would recommend that you look up your lemon law process in your state. In mine, you send a letter informing Ford that they have a pre-determined amount of time to solve the issue. They have acknowledged that the vehicle has a known issue with a feature...
  16. "Camping Mode" ?

I get a notification in FordPass if the ground fault trips. If you want to know if pro power is on or off you have to open the app and look.
  17. Ford is Reengineering Mach-E in Real Time and the F-150 Lightning Will Benefit

Sounds like a nightmare for a service department. No idea which parts will be needed to implement a fix. Even worse for aftermarket companies as there may be multiple versions of a car per year. I had a 1993 Ford Probe GT as my first car in high school. It was a great car but the problem was...
  18. Pro Power 2KW Opinions..Worth It?

I was personally underwhelmed by the 2kw generator. The noise people complained about is the fan noise for the inverter which is under the back seat. That never really bothered me but you can hear it. The 2kw system did seem to be sensitive to spikes, I would consider it to be a 1.3-1.5 kw...
  19. CarPlay Apple Maps updated visuals

I tilt more toward a stronger statement of just plain NO. With the in dash apple maps experience and some recent bugs with Waze and carplay, I switch to almost excusively using apple maps. Damned if it wasn't two days later that I got a camera speed trap ticket. I've now switched back to...
  20. Pricing of cars/trucks going to collapse?

While this all sounds awesome, there is still a piece that is missing and that is the valuation of a trade. Provided you are trading in a vehicle, the dealership could still try to screw you by offering a very low trade value. That comes as a double hit if they offer you a terrible trade in...
