I got mine as well. Unfortunately, i think I’m out of the market after the price increase, my concerns over inflation and the fact i just bought an Explorer to get our family some much needed room. I thought i would be waiting well into 2023 before i got an invite. Guess not.
Gut reaction after going through B&P, I'm probably out. Too expensive even with the tax credit for my family. These just aren't vehicles for the every day American with a family of 4. Maybe if we were a 2 income family it might work, but even then it's just so darn expensive. Good luck to...
Applications due by September 30, 2022 for this period. “Rebate Cycle”, sounds like this might not be a one time thing, but i guess we’ll find out. Also, have to purchase from an Illinois dealership. I guess that excludes me after looking a bit closer. 🤷‍♂️
I'd simply contact as many local dealers as possible. Let them know your intentions. I'd also reach out to dealers in ZEV states near your location to let them know you'd be interested. After that, it's going to be the waiting game.
If I've learned anything from being a Bronco reservation holder the last 2 years, dealerships and Ford will figure out a way to get that allocation on the dealer lot. Whether it's for a customer or a dealer stock unit, the dealership will get the Lightning.
If I were ordering a Lariat or Platinum, I’d be getting Smoked Quartz Metallic. By far the best color choice, too bad it’s not offered on Pro or XLT.
I'm just hoping to get a piece of the pie at some point. My fear is I order and take delivery, only to find out I'm on the outside looking in on the tax benefits. That will really irritate me, so I'm trying to stay as positive as I can. I found out my dealer only got 1 allocation for MY22...
First I’m seeing this and now I’m really getting excited to potentially get a Lightning. Between the fed and state tax money plus the savings on gas/maintenance, it’s really becoming a no brainier purchase for me. Thanks for sharing.
After dealing with employees for nearly 15 years, I can honestly say all of us here probably read that memo word for word, but many dealership employees glossed over it at best. I doubt very many actually read the whole memo. Just my experience and doubt showing through. LOL
From my experience with the Bronco forum and twitter the last 18 months, I'd say you'd get better traction/response from Mike Levine. Jim Farley isn't nearly as active as Mike is on Twitter. Good luck.
If anyone is looking, @dealerinsider and @Granger Ford would be 2 dealers I'd recommend talking to, if you are willing to travel to buy your new truck. Straight forward, no bs type dealers who will shoot you straight. If they have answers, you'll get feedback that is truthful. If they don't...
@Granger Ford @dealerinsider can be good resources for you, if you're looking to purchase for a price below MSRP. They've been a big help to the Bronco community, they might be able to help you too. Good luck.
@dealerinsider @Granger Ford
I'd talk to both of these dealers to get an idea of what to expect moving forward. They're both straight shooters and helped many people on the Bronco forum. Heck, if one is close enough to you, maybe just move your reservation to one of them.
Good luck.
