Yep they shouldn't have announced the recall until the actual update was available. It seems like alot of folks are visiting dealers today and being told they got the update when in reality they almost certainly did not get the recall update.

@Shoebox72069 @rpeterslll Yall have the same software version as me, and I updated back in Mid-Feb so I don't think you got the TRM recall done.

I just have a hard time believing this. If there was a huge recall coming they would have already pulled the module updates from FDRS and the folks that are in EAP would stop getting the updates via OTA as well. If it's sooooo bad why is the software still out there?

Please post the software version of it, it's likely you got the February TRM version which isn't the fix.

Doubt it's a recall as we would think of it, but more the time it takes to install Blue Cruise and that dealerships get paid to do it now. Maybe they have to call it a recall to get paid though?

And it's not preferred to use the Mongoose, you MUST use it unless you want to brick your Cruise Control Module.

First make sure it's "Adaptive Cruise Control with Hands Free" is activated under I think the Features tab on Sync (could be another menu). Then while driving activate cruise control and then turn on lane centering. As long as you are on a BC enabled road it should kick on in a few seconds.

If you updated via the nano not only would you not have Blue Cruise, you'd lose cruise control completely. That would make your 1300 mile trip REALLY suck.

Man we have some amazing people on this forum with such crazy knowledge! Sure is nice to be able to post an issue and have a resolution in a couple of hours. Could you imagine Ford ever having that level of service.

I don't know if we could consider this an OTA as most of us would think, but it did get shot down from the mothership after all the FDRS updates I did so I'll take it as a win.

I had the manual before, they just updated it. Probably BC stuff if I had to guess.

So I got an update just a few minutes ago. Extremely minor but it got pushed from the mothership. So good sign that we get OTA’s after updating via FDRS?? @tonesto7 I went in to check the OTA data in your app and it apparently didn’t like whatever Ford pushed. I’ll PM you the details.
