I use open trailers but went from a 16' to a 12' because of tail drag.
It appears you are in FL where things are relatively flat but if you want a longer trailer be mindful of the tail drag at your ingress or egress points.
Hearing the rear end scrape is worse than nails on a chalk board
That is crazy. If there is no fix until October, as stated above, does that mean Ford cannot sell any Lightnings, new or used, until the fix is available?
I hope you do chase it down. I was reluctantly looking at a Sierra EV today because their specs on paper looked pretty good.
I want to "upgrade" with another Lightning but the max tow and the 9.6 pro power pickings are slim.
My app says the software for the recall is available so I called the Ford dealer when I got the notice.
Long story short after mobile service appointment was made, the dealer called and said the software available is for the Maverick Hybrid not the lightning and they would call and reschedule...
I would tell a new Lightning owner to read the owner's manual, cover to cover.
I was in the group that reserved a Lightning on the first day available and waited for my turn to order. In that time period I read the manual multiple times.

I have been watching new inventory numbers since the big announcement. Looks like there are currently 4.6k new Lightning's for sale according to Visor Vin.
If you want a new one, the one you want may not be around in eight months.
I have been debating if I should get rid of my Pro (2022 No...
I am looking to get a new Lightning since they are discontinued. Mine is a 2022 with no issues but I figure it may be time to get a 2025.
I want the max tow since Ford made the rear locking diff part of that option. on the Flash. A rear locking axle is important to me.
I saw the $301/ month 24 mo lease, but it requires $6,895 down. The effective lease payment per month is $588 before your lease tax.
The 36 month lease is $439/month with $439 down. Seems like the 36 month is the way to go if you want to lease a XLT
I understand why the villagers have their pitchforks out, but let's face it, Ford made a good business decision.
I really enjoy my Pro and I am not inclined to abandon Ford. Carvana just offered $31k on a truck I paid $38.5k 40 months ago. It will be interesting to see how things play out.
