What seems to be obvious from all the conversations on this Forum is:
1) Those that were able to order a Lightning by, paying over sticker, being the dealers buddy or being selected by chance are for the most part ok with the process and defend Ford.
2) Those that reserved early and still have...
Unfortunately Dealers were able to front load any of their preferred/VIP customers with a reservation to the front of the order line. I guess thats lucky if your the person that reserved late in 21 and still got to order a 22 Lightning.
Also some Dealers charged reservations holders $10-$40K...
Congrats on your Lightning.
I think you are missing the reason the OP and others continue to be disappointed by the release of the Lightning. He reserved early on day one and still canāt order his Lightning.
With no regard for those that committed early to this new product Ford allowed...
Wait until Ford letās the dealers reset their order priority list for MY 2023. First hour orders will still be sitting on the sidelines while others get pushed to the front.
The difference is you were prioritized to place a Lightning order in front of everyone else at your dealer. Complaining that your order hasnāt been picked up for build yet really doesnāt fit in this thread.
The OP started this thread wishing good luck to those still waiting in the supposed line...
That appears to be an uplifted Bronco. Custom wheels, 35ā tires and 2.5ā lift. Certainly not 20K worth of items but it is not stock. Itās probably their mannequin demo.
So a $80K Lariat with a 10,500 miles X 36 month Ford Options has a residual value of 50% or $40K. The base monthly payment without any taxes, interest or dealer fees would be $1,111+- P/M.
The Red Carpet Lease if they use them likely will have better residuals and lower costs per month as long...
What about Chapman in Horsham. I know Tom has a deep reservation list but if your order doesnāt count against him them he may take care of you.
Please share this stealershipās name and add it to the dealers that Do/Donāt charge an ADM on the Lightning thread.
That is good info and Thanks for sharing. I am also interested in how far I can haul that 1452lbs as compare to the published range of the Lightning Lariat ER. I am sure the Automotive bloggers will be testing all the capabilities of the Lightning soon
It is great that you were able to move your order.
The clues are there but you certainly need to read between the lines.
I bet that if someone has to call during the next wave that they get the same vague answer. Ford is being very careful not to make it appear as if they are endorsing you...
Great Question. I can't see it hurting Granger's allocation as they didn't solicit the Ford customer to move their order to them.
It would the highest level of BS if Ford strips allocations from a dealer not charging an ADM to take care of a dealer attempting to add on a 30K ADM. Not to...
Ok Granger has confirmed what many on this forum have been saying for a month. An order with allocation can currently be moved from an ADM dealer to another dealer and be built.
It would be poetic justice if the ADM dealer also loses their allocation for violating Fords guidance on not selling...
That sucks for you and it is too bad some of the dealers are screwing you and others over.
Also your dealer is an arrogant AZZ to be bragging about how he can basically make sure no one near them will be able to purchase a Lightning at MSRP.
Just a reminder all this price gouging is on top of...
