Is no one pissed as i am that on this 'fully OTA updatable' truck, UNDER WARRANTY, we have to purchase FDRS licenses to update fords crap code?! It always chaffed my ass with older vehicles, but surely this one won't need it! NOPE! What a joke.

The OTA update capability is BS, and largely seems like smoke and mirrors. Further confirmed by the fact that I still have to buy a 48 hr FDRS license (for my under warranty vehicle) to update code in all modules, because nothing is pushed. And, of course, dealer will give you the 25 year run...

I received my platinum 1st week of Feb, no otas yet. I did turn off auto updates but even when going in and manually checking there is nothing. I'm pretty sure they are pushing some out anyway (without comms) because one day last week I got in my truck and 'my view' was all reset to defaults...

Just did my 3rd longish trip in my '21 with LKA/DA turned on whole time as I usually do. Yes, I have to jiggle the wheel every 10 secs or so to dismiss the alert, but still worth it to me. Same concept as a locomotive alerter more or less. Makes driving so much easier. I suppose the only...
