I honestly don't know if the L2 charging issue is related to the ABS module being unresponsive in FDRS.
I don't fault him for the decisions he made or reporting what he experienced on his channel. But he might have jumped the gun on his diagnosis, which is the opposite of what I expect from...
So a YouTube short popped up in my Android notifications from Ford Techmakuloco.
He has a Lightning and was charging L2 and describes a burning smell and immediately unplugged it. Then uses FDRS to discover an ABS module that doesn't respond.
I don't remember seeing anything like this...
Polarized prescription sunglasses. Early on, with the Powerboost's original Bluecruise eye-scanning code, was quite frustrating. Enough so that I Forscan-disabled the "wicked witch".
But with the recent BC related updates that included CMR code, I turned her back on so that I could see for...
I did about 7 hours straight to Accessory Mode FDRS updates with the Clore 20 Amp Power Supply/charger.
FDRS sat at 13.3-13.4 the majority of the 7 hours. Admittedly I kept the headlights off every time the truck rebooted. And I had HVAC off. I did leave FM radio on just to keep up with what...
You might try a recalibration procedure?
I know FDRS has the procedure, but I believe Forscan does now as well.
I know my Powerboost at times will attempt to find/adjust to the Lane Centering. This is described as ping-pong, or wanting to hug the right line way too close for comfort...
There's just no sensor available to confirm your hands are on the wheel. The nag has no choice.
If you get really soft handed, you can adjust to the smallest of inputs to satisfy the torque sensor. Certainly small enough for your tires to be completely unaware.
Everything I've seen regarding 1.4 is that if you even barely like 1.0, you'll be ecstatic.
If you aren't impressed with 1.0, you'll likely give Ford a nod of respect.
Of course none of that is actually addressing the complaint of this thread. The eye scanning witch isn't Bluecruise. She's...
Ironic too, since the Leaf battery catches so much smack for its lack of thermal management. Definitely an issue for those use case scenarios that can torture such a battery. But there are so many Leafs that enjoy a long life in a low stress environment.
I would indeed want the equivalent...
I'd say that you MUST be younger than this old man. At midnight I am well aware that I have less words of wisdom that would hold up well under scrutiny. Heck, I'm counting sheep at midnight.
You are still doing just fine, in my opinion.
"Public charging" & "private company" both uttered in the same debate.
In my simpleton mind, it's gotta be one or the other.
And I admit that they both might be managed and incentivized entirely different.
Public charging, I'd argue, would be an accurate term for a tax payer provided and...
I guess I'm glad that there aren't folks pondering various ways to influence my decisions at the dinosaur fuel pump. I can buy 1 gallon, or top it completely off, and nobody is giving me the evil eye.
EV fast charging stations sound like potential high anxiety places to be.
This is just one thread on this forum that represents an amazingly wide spectrum of Lightning owners.
I don't know if there's currently another EV on the market with a more diverse ownership profile.
I don't have a Lightning, but even in a much slippier EV, which I normally get 4.1-4.3 miles/kwh, if I am at 70-75 it drops ~25%.
If it's wind in my face, it takes a sizable hit as well.
I can imagine with a brick that's getting 2.X m/kwh in ideal conditions, dropping to 1.6 would be normal at...
